Bismarck Residents React to Crime Report

Posted: Updated:

We spoke to several long-time residents of Bismarck and asked if an increase in crime the past few years has changed their way of life.

"Lots of dangerous people living here in North Dakota now, I had to keep my doors locked and everything." says Tim Bargmann

"With the influx of people you know we're getting some of those I  guess sketchy people coming in here and it has increased our crime rate." says Nicole Kohler

"Just two months ago we put a security system in our house to kind of prevent it.  Those of us who have kids, we have a tendency to be a little more cautious recently because there are a lot more people trying to abduct children and there is a lot more violent crimes going on." says David Boehm

"It's a little alarming, I grew up in North Dakota where we never locked our doors so we are definitely having to re-educate ourselves and our children to that." says Katrina Richter
