The congregations of Christ Lutheran and Augustana Lutheran Churches watched the waters of the Mouse creep up their foundations and into their sanctuaries three years ago.
Rebuilding has been steady for the two congregations that merged into one after the waters receded.
Today they reached a milestone, setting the beams atop their new dining hall.
The addition has been built by members of the church and ministry volunteers from afar.
(Allan Pearson, Head of Building Committee) "We were able to come together and work as a group here with them. Which has been awesome, they're a great morale booster for our congregation and helping give us a little spiritual boost also. They've been great to work with. "
Pearson added that the stained glass from Augustana's old location has also been moved into Christ Lutheran.
