The 2014 North Dakota State Fair is nearly here.
Gates open tomorrow morning for this year's event.
And tomorrow night, country music stars Lady Antebellum will be on the grandstand stage.
Just two hours ago, the Minot Area Chamber of Commerce helped get the party started a bit early with a ribbon cutting near some new free stages.
(Missy Feist-Erickson, Minot Area Chamber of Commerce) "On behalf of the Chamber Ambassadors I would like to congratulate you on what was deemed to be and what will be a very successful fair. Thank you for all your hard work and on behalf of the community we appreciate it. Let's cut the ribbon!"
That area - free stage 7 - is on the northeast edge of the fairgrounds - and includes a new animal attraction called Wolves of the World, and a display called Cow Town where you can see cows milked - and watch as dairy products are made from the fresh milk.
