The city of Minot officially has a new city manager.
The city council held a special meeting today to confirm the hiring of Lee Staab as the city manager.
Staab will begin on the job in mid-September.
Council president Mark Jantzer said Staab was a very impressive candidate for the job.
(Mark Jantzer, Minot City Council President) "He's worked as part of the Army Corps of Engineers and he's been on the other side of the desk, working with the Army Corps of Engineers. So I think with the flood prevention work that Minot has in front of it as we go forward, as well as construction and infrastructure, he's going to be a really good pick as city manager."
Lee Staab's contract calls for a salary of 145-thousand dollars.
He's due to begin the job on September 15th.
