Honest Tea Conducts Experiment in Bismarck

Posted: Updated:
A social experiment is being conducted across the nation to test people's honesty.

Today was Bismarck's turn, and if you were walking around downtown you might have been a part of it, without realizing it.

The test is being conducted by the beverage company, Honest Tea.

They set up unmanned kiosks with drinks and snacks and a sign recommending you pay one dollar.

Undercover workers kept track of who paid for the snacks and who just took them for free.

"We try to have an honest relationship with our customers through our brand, and our ingredients, our fair trade and organic ingredients. And so we are seeing if the rest of America feels the same and we are putting the country to the test with the honesty index," says Olivia Shjeflo

Surveyors

s will make 60 stops as they visit all 50 states.
