One Killed, Nine Injured in Two Traffic Accidents

One person was killed and nine others were injured in two separate traffic accidents early Wednesday morning.

The Highway Patrol reports 29-year-old Jeffrey Novotny of Riverton, Wyoming died when the pickup he was in rammed into a semi at an intersection of Williams County roads.

The driver of the pickup was also injured and was charged with Felony DUI in the accident. The semi driver was not hurt.

In the other accident, a car rear-ended a van carrying nine men in a van on Highway Two near Tioga.

The van rolled over into the ditch.

Two of the nine were flown by helicopter to Trinity Hospital in Minot and a third was driven to Trinity by ambulance.

The other six were treated at the Tioga Hospital.

The driver of the car that caused the crash has been cited for failure to use care required while driving.
