North Dakota Highway Patrol Identifies Texas Man Killed in Collision Near Killdeer

The 34-year-old Texas man fatally injured in a head-on collision near Killdeer is identified.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says Aaron Petree of Abilene Texas was killed in a head-on crash with a semi-trailer Saturday night.

According to the Patrol, Petree crossed the center line of Highway 200, around a half a mile west of Killdeer, and crashed into the oncoming vehicle around 9:42 pm.

Petree was not wearing a seatbelt, and was ejected.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the semi was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital by the Dickinson Ambulance.

The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
