United Way Survey Results

Posted: Updated:

About a month ago, the Souris Valley United Way asked the people of Minot what their town needs were,

and residents answered.

Affordable housing is still a huge concern for many people living in the city, along with the more daycare centers and better crime prevention.

The Souris Valley United Way doesn't know what the new objective will be, but for now they have some pretty good ideas that don't cost anything but volunteer time.

(Megan Grundstrom, SVUW Board President) "We have talked about starting a neighborhood watch groups, and I think that could be very easy for us to do. We would separate Minot into neighborhoods, find a neighbor in that neighborhood who would lead that group, and then the United Way would just be helping get these groups started."

The Souris Valley United Way members say they will decide what their mission is by September.
