A Hazen man faces a felony charge for having drugs in a correctional facility.
Last January 38-year-old Gary Brennan was late returning to the Bismarck Transition Center.
He was searched after he returned and staff found two hand rolled cigarettes in a shirt pocket.
The two cigarettes were sent to the state crime lab.
Lab results came back this week positive for synthetic marijuana known as "Spark."
An affidavit says Brennan admitted the two cigarettes contained the controlled substance.
Brennan is charged with a class 'B' felony which carries a maximum penalty of ten years in jail and a $20,000 fine.
