Bismarck, ND -
The Highway Patrol says it has identified the vehicle that struck and killed a Texas man on U.S. Highway 52 in North Dakota, along with the vehicle's driver.
The hit-and-run incident near Drake on July 2 killed 51-year-old Carlos Price, of Houston.
Authorities say they have identified the vehicle as a semi trailer hauling fracking sand. They say the driver is a 54-year-old man from Cheyenne, Wyoming. The patrol has given the case to the McHenry County state's attorney for possible charges.
The patrol says Price was walking along the highway about 2:30 a.m. on July 2 after the vehicle he and a woman were in went off the road and became submerged in water. The semi allegedly left the scene after hitting Price. The woman wasn't hurt.
