United Way 'Day of Caring' Brings Hundreds of Volunteers

Posted: Updated:

Volunteers are giving back in North Dakota for United Way's "Day of Caring."

More than 800 volunteers young and old came out to improve their community.

Some Bismarck volunteers picked up trash along the highway, cleaned up grounds at the YMCA and replaced fences at the Dakota Zoo.

Missouri Slope United Way Executive Director Jena Gullo says it's all about working together to make a difference.

"It's a powerful movement and you realize that when we all support each other, when we all come together we can accomplish really great things for our community," says Missouri Slope United Way Executive Director Jena Gullo.
