Extended Hours for Sports Physicals

Posted: Updated:

Athletes have an extra appointment on the back-to-school list: the annual sports physical.

The North Dakota High School Activities Association requires annual sports physicals for all athletes participating in school-sanctioned sports.

Sanford Health Walk-in Clinic has made it easy to cross it off the to-do list.

Athletes can walk in during the office hours, no appointments necessary.

To make the doctor visit even more painless: visit minot.sanfordhealth.org in advance to check the wait times and any necessary forms for sports physicals can be filled out in advance online at the same website - slash sports physical.

Patients do not need to be associated with Sanford Health prior to the walk-in.

(Sarah Stephan, Sanford Health Walk-in Clinic) "They're looking for anything from asthma to problems with muscles, bones, joints, we want to make sure flexibility is good, we just want to be sure our athletes are healthy before they go into the high-impact athletic situations."
