The search for Visit Minot's next Executive Director took a stop forward Friday afternoon.
Today representatives from the Board of Directors for Visit Minot conducted their final interviews.
Bill Thomas says the board received fifty applications for the position and over the last few weeks they have narrowed that list down to three finalists.
Terri Aldrich who has headed the Minot area council for the Arts since 1999.
Phyllis Burckhard who currently oversees Sales and Marketing with the OBASA Group.
And Allan McGeough who has been the Executive Director of the American Red Cross Mid-Dakota Chapter for the last 12 years.
Thomas says all these three have made the cut because of long standing, deeply rooted ties to the community.
(Bill Thomas, President, Visit Minot Board of Directors) "You know, we're looking for someone that can come in, take the reigns, and promote the city of Minot. So we've got some great applicants that are local folks, and we have a great staff. So we're looking for someone to come in, promote the city of Minot and get some great events here. We're just poised to do a lot of great things."
Early next week, Thomas added, the Board Representatives will make their nomination to the full Board of Directors and by Tuesday evening, Visit Minot will have a new Executive Director.
