FEMA Approves Flood Assistance

Posted: Updated:

The Federal Emergency Management Agency has approved a disaster declaration for parts of North Dakota due to damage from flooding in mid-to-late June.

Heavy rains - totaling as much as 12 inches in some places - caused extensive damage to public infrastructure such as roads and bridges, as well as to private property.

The disaster declaration means local agencies can apply for FEMA assistance in repairing damage caused by the flooding.
