Mandan Finance Committee Presents Prelimnary 2015 Budget

Posted: Updated:

The City of Mandan's Finance Committee presents its preliminary 2015 budget at tonight's Mandan Commission meeting.

Finance Director Greg Welch projects revenues of 27 million dollars and expenditures of 27.4 million dollars for the upcoming year.

Salaries and benefits for Mandan's public employees would make up 36 percent of those expenditures followed by debt service.

Under the 2015 budget property taxes would increase by 2 percent from 2014 and utilities would also go up about 3.65 dollars a month for existing households valued at 225-thousand dollars.

The Commission voted to approve a public hearing on the issue in September.
