Family Fare Moves to Dickinson

Posted: Updated:
More fresh produce is just one big change coming to a grocery store in Dickinson.

Family Fare is opening two supermarkets in the former EconoFoods locations.

Along with a new name comes a new look.

One of the changes shoppers will see is shopping carts equipped with alphabetical store directories.

The stores will also have 100 new produce items...40 of those will be organically grown.

They'll also move products like eggs and milk to the front of the store for shoppers who want to grab something on the go.

Store manager Charles Donohoo says one thing that won't change, is their commitment to North Dakota.

"We will continue to do what they have always done because as I understand.  They have always purchased from local farmers.  In addition to that, there is some North Dakota products; there flour, there's sun flower seeds, anything that we can carry for our consumers that is at the request, we will be more than happy to do that." says Charles Donohoo, Store Director

Family Fare is building a third store in Dickinson.

It should by complete by early 2015.
