Bismarck Man Dead Following Accident South of Minot

A 55-year-old Bismarck man is dead after the vehicle he was driving rear-ended a payloader on Highway 83 six miles south of Max.

It happened at 1:20 yesterday afternoon.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the Bismarck man was dead at the scene.

The driver of the payloader, 48-year-old Christopher Wickman, was injured and taken to Trinity Hospital. The patrol says the payloader was driving around 20 mph at the time of the accident.

The 55-year-old man was wearing his seatbelt and an airbag deployed. His name hasn't been released.
