Bolton stresses the importance of keeping the Georgia Senate seat for the GOP.
WASHINGTON, Aug. 28, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Ambassador John Bolton endorses U.S. Senate candidate David Perdue in Georgia. Perdue, a successful businessman and leader, is running against Michelle Nunn to replace retiring Republican Sen. Saxby Chambliss. The race is considered a toss-up, with Nunn recently coming under scrutiny for a controversial land deal she made with a Washington lobbyist.
"David understands that economic security is the foundation for strong national security," Bolton said. "His leadership and resolve is sorely needed in the U.S. Senate, especially at a time when America's foreign policy has cast doubts among our friends and emboldened our enemies."
Bolton is committed to supporting candidates for elected office who believe in protecting the United States' vital freedoms at home by securing American interests in a challenging world. The John Bolton PAC and the John Bolton Super PAC have raised a combined $4.5 million to date with over $3 million cash on hand.
Statement from Purdue: "I'm grateful for the support of respected leaders like Ambassador John Bolton. President Obama's failed foreign policies have made America less safe at home and abroad. As Georgia's next U.S. Senator, I will advance policies to ensure that America is capable of protecting our interests and supporting our allies throughout the world."
Ambassador Bolton's PAC has endorsed and made contributions to 21 candidates, including U.S. Senate candidates Rep. Bill Cassidy (LA), former Sen. Scott Brown (NH), Thom Tillis (NC), Ed Gillespie (VA), Rep. Tom Cotton (AR), Joni Ernst (IA), Terri Lynn Land (MI), and Leader Mitch McConnell (KY), along with U.S. House of Representatives candidates Rep. French Hill (AR-2), Rep.
