TORONTO, Aug. 30, 2014 /CNW/ - Special Olympics Canada and JYSK have again joined forces to raise awareness and funds for Special Olympics programs across Canada. From August 30 to September 30, 2014, JYSK customers will be able to make in-store donations during this year's Champions Start at Home campaign. Now in their 10th year of support, JYSK will promote the importance of Special Olympics programs for individuals with an intellectual disability in communities throughout Canada.
"JYSK Canada customers have a chance to make a difference in the lives of people with intellectual disabilities in their community, simply by making a donation at the till," said Lynne Williams, director of advertising, JYSK Canada. "We are proud and honoured to be a national partner of Special Olympics since 2006 and our continued association with the incredible Champions Start at Home campaign."
Special Olympics Canada continues to provide world-class sport programming for individuals with intellectual disabilities throughout the country, allowing them to experience the transformative power and joy of sport. JYSK's 10 years of support have helped countless Special Olympics athletes achieve their full potential, and unleash the champion within. This year's campaign will also feature in-store activations with Special Olympics athletes such as bake sales and barbeques.
"JYSK's ongoing dedication to helping Special Olympics Canada enrich the lives of individuals with an intellectual disability through sport is truly amazing," says Special Olympics Canada CEO, Sharon Bollenbach.
