Sicko I don't profess to being an expert on the ups and downs of the Stock market.  I'm not sure there is anybody out there that really does know how it's going to react.  Lots and lots of variables.  Haven't seen one mathematical equation yet that can take every variable out there and spit out an answer.  I do know one thing.  It tends to go up when there is a miniscule amount of optimism.  Oh yeah almost forget to add that it was up again today.  Maybe if Einstein was around he could figure it out.

Lol, I am hoping this is done. The major indicator for the rest of next year. Should happen soon after the Christmas season is done. If it consumer spending is low then there will be lots of companies in BIG trouble which bodes bad for us. However if consumer spending is high enough I think we might even stave off a double dip. I know, I know, I have warned and warned about all the things that are going to happen. However I think the major shift in the oval office from CAP AND TRADE, to instead the deficit and getting that reduced will do all sorts of good for investors and the dollar. Which should help out the economy in a whole. Reply...

In Article: Child Support Law Is Unfairly Totally Against Men
Annoyer7:  I guess what I was trying to say is..sure his amount is fair considering what his paycheck was (he has taken a pay cut for a "better advancing job), but what I have a problem with is the amount that each child was getting. I dont think it is fair that one kid gets $450 to themselves, while the other 3 have to split $450. I know for a fact how much daycare, clothes, rent, diapers, utilities, car insurance, and other bills cost. I pay $440 in daycare ALONE.  The mother of this last child: does not work, does not go to school, lives with her parents (she is in her MID 20's) has a boyfriend who pays for whatever, they are usually shopping or spending nites in hotels...gets wic..I work my butt off..i dont get any state assistance for child care nor do I get wic (and this is based off my income alone)..everything comes out of my pocket. The other two childrens mom n "dad" support them as well without any assistance. Why should he pay that much more for someone who will not take some responsibility for herself? All we want is for each child to have equal child support. Reply...

We did get a response from Dorgan on that letter that I had written..see previsous page.. Since the tribe is a sovereign tribe, the state govt can not do anything.  IT was also discovered that the tribal court system has not and WILL not report how much he actually did pay.  I know he did pay because I did double check his pay stubs.  Does anyone know how we can have a lawyer investigated?  The last childs mother is related to this lawyer and he will not report to the state what was given to her. She was given the OK to NOT give him any contact information, no health information on the child, he doesnt even know the babies Middle name, which is against the laws (there are no protection orders or anything like that in place either). If he asks her any questions, her response is.."Oh the judge never ordered me to give that info to you so I dont have to."  BULL!!! Yup time to save up n get us a dang good lawyer!!! Reply...

Male or Female:

Hey!  You dont want to pay child support,  quit going out there without protection and having babies then.  You think $600.00 a month is too much?  Chances are the ones that has custody is paying rent, utilities,  do you know how much laundry there is for little ones?  Do you know how much formula and baby food and diapers cost?  Baby sitters take up over 1/3 of your pay.  Even after they out grow the sitter, there is school supplies, activities, clothing, not to mention doctors, dentist, eye care, insurance and any other special needs.   Most of the time when I hear people complaining about the cost , its the people that really dont put much effort out to take of the child in the first place.  So again,  I say,  dont want those additional obligations.... obstain, or take protection!!

In many respects ND is the farthest left state in the nation. With regards to how the state is run. We have a state owned and operated bank (Bank of ND), a state owned and operated Elevator and Mill (North Dakota Elevator and Mill), strong business laws, and there are still talks of building a state ran and owned refinery. So what you find out of ND is that it maybe too far left for you.

To become the bane of the federal gov't is only going to put a target on the back of the state. This is not about the politics of the state it is about showing the rest of the US that we do it right. Which is why you should live here. Work ethic in Wymoing, Montana, and the Dakotas is unrivaled in the US. Reply...

SickoKing, that was a neat thing to say.  ND a guilding light to the rest of the country.

I only wish one state (or more)  would buck Obama and govern the state in such a way that the people are prosperous,  the state prosperous,  Jobs are created, the people are happy.   Is there such a state Sicko?

There should be.

First of all if this was like most forums, there a number of people (including Rugby) would end up on suspensions or complete bans. Mainly for hijacking threads like this one. We should ignore mental midgets and those who refuse to have honest conversations from now on.

Back to topic...

We should be spending money like crazy. Showing ND as America was during the 1800's and early 1900's. By which I mean the beacon of light which will guide the rest of the country through darkness. Reply...

I was looking at Rugby's profile, trying to find a certain comment he made some time back...and noticed that WOW...he sure doesn't have much good to say about anything. He even takes a good article like the one this thread is about and twists it around with hate. Way to go Rugby! And I do believe that someone else has posted SOME things under your user ID here... I agree Neon. We need to take care of our problems here and then do what we can to help out others...but only REAL help, like food and medical care and protection of the innocent that are being genocized and tortured.. We don't need to apologize for helping them either, but we need to be more careful about how we do it, such as NONE of our taxpayer dollars going to fund abortions overseas. No way,  NO HOW! To those babies, we do owe an apology, a profound one. Reply...

Yeah lets keep doling out money to countries while our own inner cities rot.  We doled out cash to Iraq in the early 80's look where that got us.  We need to stop our meddling in other countries affairs.  Reply...

I suppose it wasn't a good thing for us to help fight for France, England, and all the other countries that needed help. We should apologize for that and tell them to take back the Statue of Liberty. We also need to stop spending billions on medical and food aid over in impoverished countries. They don't need our help.

As of 2007, the US spent $480 billion on Foreign Aid and $352 billion contributing to the World Food Bank. More than the US just spent on it's $700 billion dollar financial bail out which will take Americans decades to recover from.
The United States is the single largest donor of foreign economic aid, but, unlike many other developed nations, Americans prefer to donate their money through the private sector, according to a new report published by a Washington research organization.

Of the $122.8 billion of foreign aid provided by Americans in 2005 (the most current data available), $95.5 billion, or 79 percent, came from private foundations, corporations, voluntary organizations, universities, religious organizations and individuals, says the annual Index of Global Philanthropy.

I could go on all night, but I'm too tired. Yes, we need to apologize and stop giving to others. Reply...
