5 touchdowns one game.   Yes I can relate to the Al Bundy anolalogy.  The highlight of my life and all downhill from there.  LOL

I played in the SMCHS VS BHS state championchip game at hughes field 1985.   It was like 17 degrees - stands were packed - we lost but it just wouldn't be the same memory if we had played on turf in a dome 200 miles away. Reply...

The community bowl is turf too! But at least it is outdoors. Reply...

Yea I was discussing this last night that there won't be a Championship weekend until there is a dome in Minot, Bismarck, Dickinson, or Williston.

Besides Bismarck is about as middle ground as you can get. The Community bowl has more than enough seating, Dickinson States's new stadiums should easily be big enough as well.

Football should be played outside, besides this turf is very hard on the body. Reply...

The problem I have with it is the fact that all of the games are in GF or Fargo no matter who is in the championchip.   Indoor games are okay but this weekend would have been great weather for a game at the community bowl.

I know alot of the class B kids have to buy special shoes just for 1 game at the domes.

......others may have, I don't know, but I don't believe I ever referred to rugby as a "traitor".   But he definitely is a disgrace to our military...........

wuw - I do take it that you don't like the "tone" of our responses to rugby.  If you don't like the tone of some responses on this forum, you would have started with wry a long time ago, but I've never heard a criticism of him.  No one has had his level of tone.  And I really don't care if he does as he does.  Just don't judge me for something much less.  Like I say, I really don't care how anyone "feels" about it, but sometimes you DO have to respond to "hyperbole"......  Reply...

I appreciate that Rugby served, if he has these feelings he probably should not have served.

I just think Rugby goes WAY OVERBOARD on his hatred of the Military (at least to me)  and W.      A bit overboard so much so that he doesn't have a real conversation, just spews hatred.

Oh....I guessed that you (and Blm too) don't give a fig about what I have to say.  Duly noted.

My opinion has less to do with the positions that you guys take with regards to the two wars we are fighting.......and more with the fact that you are calling a war veteran "a traitor" just because of his opinions.

For all you know, he served faithfully.  That he now opines differently than what you, me (or even Uncle Sam) wish should not impugn his actual deeds in defending our country.

As a sidenote:

Strangely, it seems that, unlike other military veterans who post on kxnet, those who served in Iraq and/or Afghanistan seem to be more pessimistic about our involvement there.  His opinion is certainly not an outlier on this ND message board.

Are those other military vets traitors too? Do you think they are also supporters of Al Queda?

That is what I'm getting at.

"""""To my eyes, you two are coming off poorly by your (ad hominem) criticism."""""

wuw - that's to be expected from you, I know where you are coming from.

I expect I will get a whole range of how people view what I compose, what rugby composes, and how people view both will range from one end of the spectrum to the other.  Everything that rugby spews WILL be put in another perspective by me (and others) that disagree vehemently with his philosophy, and his hypocrisy concerning the military.  How you get wei-weid up about my responses to rugby is not a blip on my radar................

Nope, not me.  Not it.  I never stated nor implied any of what you espouse.

Try again, please.

Do not accuse me of stating or implying something of which I did neither.

Rugby, you said 'blmccar is an individual who posts items with no basis in truth or fact.' Yet you're the one that said that border patrol was the place law enforcement officers strived to get to, and that's where the best and brightest officers wanted to be. Those weren't your words to the letter, but that's the exact message you put on the board. That couldn't be further from the truth, so now I wonder where you're getting the other facts you're putting on this thread. Border patrol, as I said, is at the bottom of the barrel when it comes to LE. I know that first hand from working with these guys for many years. I also mentioned a short while ago that the higher ups in Border Patrol cleaned out hundreds of officers due to different reasons, poor work performance, unethical behavior, etc.. and replaced them with new recruits. If Border Patrol is the place to go, why are so many undesireables working there and getting booted. No, border patrol is NOT a desired position for most LE officers.

I know this is off topic SickO, but I wanted to bring up this huge mistatement that Rugby made, while at the same time he accuses others of not having the facts. He had zero facts on the Border Patrol issue. Reply...

Actually. You know I was thinking about what I wrote. Let me correct and clarify it a little.

From the outside (of you three arguing with one another), I think you are correct, You (and Blmccar) are administering a beating. However, it appears that the beatings are self-inflicted.

To my eyes, you two are coming off poorly by your (ad hominem) criticism.

........no need to get all wei-weid up.  And you know there is more coming from rugby than him talking about not being in Iraq and Afghanistan.  If it would have just been that, maybe there would be no dead horses to beat over and over again, but when he brings in his lunatic fringe far leftist lies into the equation, there will be a lot more beatings going on.  And if you don't think this constant mantra of the left, especially from our elected Democrat party, of the same rhetoric as rugby's, hasn't killed many of our troops, by emboldening these terrorists, that is flat out delusional thinking.  Where is the constant hand wringing of the Democrat party and the vast left wing media now about and exit strategy, and demands of a date we will be out?  You are not going to hear it now that your One is in office.

........so if I want to get all wei-weid up about rugby's constant lies and distortions, I guess I just will, and the beatings MUST go on.

Always Faithful
