Good day all,
Today I am home...I have been making soup in the crock...

I have been facebooking with Shoppe all day. Cooking, no cleaning though, why ruin a perfectly good day off????  LOL!!  We had a big turnout yesterday for voting.  Unfortunately the man I voted for mayor didn't win.  I won't get political in this thread...the gay marriage referendum lost. My local issue was renovating the high school...that won.  good thing...the school is crumbling. Shelbeast will be able to enjoy it...Johnboy will only get a couple of years in the new high school.

Nothing else happening here....

Enjoy your day folks, I'll catch up to ya later...

Today was cool and sunny, and later on turned to rain. We got the boat out of the lake, winterized it and put in storage and brought the snowmobiles to town. I spent most of the afternoon in the kitchen, whipping up a autumn beef stew that turned out PERFECT!!! And I also made some cinnamon chunk scones which were scrumptious! I fired up the woodburner today, which is right next to the kitchen, so I was able to see and feel the fire all afternoon. All in all a good day! Reply...

canned hunt laws will lead us down the road of endless laws constricting and restricting hunting and hunters - I don't agree with that willy. I don't think hunters will ever lose their hunting fun...in fact, I agree it's necessary in some places in order to keep the numbers down. Too many deer here in middle and southern MN leads to them dieing of starvation. I'd rather see them humanely shot by a legal hunter. Feedlots are horrible and different organizations are working to improve them. We will not rest until the animals get what's due them, humane treatment.

Canned hunting is illegal in 20 states - legal in 30

All I was getting at Marilyn is that eventually canned hunt laws will lead us down the road of endless laws constricting and restricting hunting and hunters

The game on the hunting ranches live a whole lot better life than cattle on feedlots.   Chickens and turkeys have it just as bad.

Alot of the hunting ranches consist of a 1000 acres or more.

Pets - if you want to live in the world of meth and pot farms go live in oregon - it aint pretty.

Good Morning everyone, how are you today? I am swell, not really but I am here. Today let’s see what is happening with me, oh let me think, oh I remember not a dam thing. I am doing Christmas cards, only 230 to go. I love to send and receive Christmas cards. I get order my Christmas cards from Ireland. So why does a Jew celebrate Christmas, my family loves it. I don’t decorate the house or anything, I wish I could, my husband is worthless in that department, and it is all up to me.   I do light a menorah for every night of Chanukah, and I read the prayers. I make sure my children understand it; it is a part of their Christianity in a way.  All my cards are more about Holiday cheer than Christmas so no is offended.  I wish you guys would send me Address, under my Facebook private message, so I can send you all a card.

KO your kids give you so much pleasure, it is nice to hear your stories; it makes me remember those days on innocence with the children.

Today is a nice morning; I walked the entire paper route with John. The moon was full and the sky is clear, about 28 degrees, it was a nice 4 mile walk, I still can’t feel my nose though.

What the heck let’s do a little looky look at world of Care,

I saw this in the national news, today Maine votes on the rights of gays to married. I am not going to say anything this is an impartial room, with no politics. Can’t wait to see what happens tomorrow.

Not much else right now, I need to get John up for school, I will see you later.

Oh for my Shoppe, who I love so much....

Have a great Morning, Theresa

I would have figured you for a vegetarian  Pets.

Me, I love beef.   I would prefer to get the kind Marilyn mentioned, the ones raised and killed more humanely but I cannot pay the prices.

Even Organic comes with a hefty price tag.

I forgot to tell you rugrat #1 was dressed as Darth Vader.  He got tired of the mask (he has glasses) so he took it off.  rugrat #2 was dressed as supergirl and rugrat #3 was dressed as Thomas the Train Engine.  He got tired of his conductor hat so he grabbed rugrat #1's mask n ran around with that. I have a pic of them on facebook! They got alot of candy!  I was lookin in the pantry for rugrat #3's halloween bag found it..n it was still full of candy from last year! Thank god suckers dont go bad lol.  We dont let him have chocolate since hes sensitive to it in the worst way! Reply...

I beieve fenced hunts should be allowed but regulated. I don't believe that a bunch of animals on 1 acre is a fair hunt, but if you have a large area say 50 acres with trees and a few (not a lot of animals) then I see nothing wrong with it because it is really no different than a hunt. Reply...

We don't eat too much beef anymore either.  Just a roast every once in awhile.  Chicken and turkey are my favorites.  But not OUR  chickens.  Ours die of old age.  We just eat the eggs.   Someone asked me once if we ate our chickens and I told them I didn't think an 8 or 9 yr. old chicken would be very tasty (especially when you have watched them eat garbage every day)  lol.   We feed them grain, too, but if you could see some of the really rotten things chickens will eat, it would give you second thoughts about eating chicken, period.
