37rye.. do you even know this person in real life or are you just making stupid assumptions?

not all housewives or stay at home moms are fat.. most of them don't watch oprah (because they dont have time).. and they do watch their children.. not everyone has the money to be able to afford to put up a fence.. why waste your time on a piddly fence that your going to have to keep replacing because it wont stay up?

what this person is saying is that the railroad owns this property that could be considered their property but isnt.. so all she's asking is for them to mow it...

i hate people who don't mow their lawns.

maybe you should go down to the railroad and talk to them in person.. nothing ever gets done if you do it by phone or email.  you need to go down there and put your foot down.. get a little rude if you have to.. Reply...

You are a dumb redneck! Let me guess you or someone you know works for the railroad? Kids should be able to play in their yard without having to deal with wild animals jumping out at them from the JUNGLE the railroad is to lazy or cheap to deal with. If one of her children or daycare children get bit (could be one of your family children) The railroad is going to be paying out alot more in a med bills ! Reply...

I understand completely.  Your a lazy overweight stay at home mom that thinks its eveyone elses problem to take care of your kids.   Is there a road by your house?  Do you let your kids play there to?  Put up a fence.  And before you start whining about that, it doesn't have to be a beautiful professionally installed fence.  Get off your lazy butt and do something besides whining.  Reply...

You're lucky the railroad isn't charging you with tresspassing.  Keep you kids in your own damn yard.  If your are unable or unwilling to keep your kids in your yard the state should take your kids away.  I have no sympathy for lazy stay at home moms who are upset because the kids make you miss Ophra sometimes.  Do your job and stop whinning! I hate to have you spend money out of your own pocket for this, but you could get a live trap for the cats.  Put some cat food and water in it, set it and see if you can nab the cats one by one.  That wouldn't help with the grass, but at least maybe you could get rid of the cats, I'm assuming if you caught any , you could deliver them to the Humane society.  I would also call Animal Control in Minot and see if they have any traps they would be willing to let you use, before buying one yourself.

If you need to buy a trap, Tractor Supply usually has them for about $32.00, Home of Economy might, North Country Mercantile or Menards might also carry them.

Good Luck................

Ok so after talking to the Public Works, Animal Control, Burlington Northern Railroad.......nothing has been done yet!!!! The grass is now almost 5 feet tall. The six foot deep hole is still open. I have talked to so many people I don't who to turn to now. I have called Minot Daily News and KXMC to see if maybe a story on it will help push someone. No calls back yet but that has only been a day or two. The weather is nice but still can't play in the yard. I sent an email to one of the head guys at the railroad company but is only comment was " If your already working with Jim, then he will do something if needed."..............My husband & I have already been lunged at by the cats and I'm NOT having that happen to my kids or my daycare children. It will be $2500 to have the smaller part of my yard fenced in. I have called landscaping companies but they can't cut (and recommend I don't either) the railroads land. So what do I do??? Do I sit in my house and only go to parks and drag 5 or 6 kids to local parks, day after day when I have water toys and outdoor activities!!?? It's so unfair to all of us and I can't even do anything. I even asked to just give me a release to be able to have the grass cut by someone or my husband but nothing. I guess I just wait for a child to get lost in the grass and fall in the hole!!!   Can anyone help???

I'm glad someone came and took care of the grass.   I find it funny that everyone always wants to turn to a lawyer to get things done.  Has anyone figured out that the reason why insurance is so costly is because everyone wants to take everyone to court for something in hopes of getting a settlement and in return insurance rates go up because of all these nonsense cases and litigation proceedings.  Reply...

YEA!!!! After having to talk with the head guy for the railroad of ND, someone came out and admitted it's the railroad property and they will cut the grass. And thankfully I did make a big deal out of it because when he came out to check over the property he found open 3 ft wide and 10 ft deep holes...uncovered. So it would of been real nice having my kids fall in there if they happened to have to get something out of there.

Since you're dealing with the railroad, my advise is for you to contact the Ward County State's Attorney, Rosa Larson, here is the e-mail:  Rosa.Larson@co.ward.nd.us

Rode the Bullet train in Japan way back in 1990.  Went over 100 mph.  The cost of it was pretty cheap.  Wasn't a bad way to travel.  Fossil the progressive!!!!  Never thought that would come out of my mouth.  Your either for progress or against it.  If you against it go move to Cuba. Reply...
