Actually Pain, the theology of the rature is not a new idea...that is a mistake many preterists make. As you study this, I want you to focus on something here. That would be Christ's words to the disciples. Study the Olivet Discourse thouroughly. Study Paul's words as well. Lets think about something here, if in fact there will not be a rapture, a removing of all believers before the tribulation, why would Jesus have gone to such great lengths to ensure the disciples/believers were not caught off guard??? He used parables to help them understand. If there is no rapture, those of us that know the Lord, that study scripture, that have read Revelation, will certainly know that we are in the tribulation...correct? Is there any doubt, believers during the tribulation will recognize the bowl judgements as they are unfolded one after the other...just as John conveyed from his vision Christ gave him? If there is no rapture, believers will know when Jesus returns...at the end of the tribulation...correct? The word rapture is not in the Bible...you are correct, it is derived from the Latin word "rapturo"...that is translated from the Greek "caught up"...from I Thessalonians 4:16-17. If there is no rapture, Paul's words seem to contradict Revelation. Jesus described in detail His second coming...Matthew 24:27-31, read Christ's words..."Immediately after the tribulation"..."then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven and the tribes of the earth will mourn and they will see the Son of Man coming with power and great glory". Now go down the verse 36-44, does Jesus not appear to contradict Himself??? Read how Jesus describes man, they were eating and drinking, marrying and being given in marriage...a stark contrast to verse 27-31. This certainly cannot be the same time...correct? Look at the parable of the 10 virgins, what was Jesus trying to convey? But as you said, this is a complex topic, study with an open heart and ask the Lord for discernment...thanks. Reply...

Good Morning everyone, how are you today? I am not complaining, and who really cares. I am heading out to go to the Bazaars in town this morning all by myself, First Lutheran and another one. I love bazaars and I have extra money, and that is not a good thing. I love the food; First Lutheran makes this yummy creamy turkey sandwich with all the fixings.  So if anyone wants to come, call me, it will be a fun morning, I am leaving in an hour, new friends and good food what else is there.

Curly the netty pot is a great thing, it clears you right out, the first time you do it, you will think I don’t know about this, and then you will be addicted when you get not feeling well. They sell them at CVS also.

Well I am going to go for now, if anyone wants to come call me 720-8001, I’ll pick you up in an hour.

Theresa

shopp, would you consider that about 90% of the church believes in the rapture?

As I though about your statement shopp I wondered is the rapture stuff scriptural. That started me thinking and it now has launched me into studying end time prophecy. Sofar after 2 hrs  I believe that this rapture is yet another false doctrine being taught.

Obviously it will take some time to research and study both sides as it is a deep subject pertaining to The Lords Return. I found out that Blm is correct in that the rapture is a fairly new teaching. I also know the word rapture is not found in the bible.......These two facts alone makes me question the validity of this teaching.

Have a good night.

Sorry to hear you're feeling poorly Curly. I use the squeeze bottle, which to me works better than the Neti Pot. I have two...this one...

You pour one of the included packets of salt solution into the empty bottle, then fill it with warm bottled water or distilled water. It does wonders for my sinus's, which have always given me problems since I've been in Minnesota and it's great for preventing flu's since it flushes out all the germs that are nestling in your sinus's. I bought two so that I always have one at home and then one to take on the road. Some doctor on tv said that the H1N1 virus sits in your nasal membranes up to 3 days before it moves into your system, so flushing out your nose every day can help prevent the flu. Reply...

Well, I worked at the big one craft show.  I felt like crap.  I wish I could have stayed home.  I know what I have is not contagious or I would have.  I stopped at medical arts conveinient care clinic and got some anti biotics.  I have a massive sinus infection.  I have a slight temp from it and can't breath thru my nose at all.  She said I should do some hot packs on my face to help loosen up the gunk in there.

Has anyone heard of a netty pot????  She suggested I get one.  Never heard of it.  I am going to try some nasel spray.  Just the saline one.

Oh gosh, what a day I have had.

Oh, and by the way, all three grandkids are sick in Fargo again.  I feel so bad for them and my daughter in law.  She has her hands full that is for sure.

Things have to look up for those little ones pretty soon.  I am going to put a picture of them in my profile in their Halloween costumes.  They all felt pretty good that day.

I would have to agree with the Fraud thing. what happens is.. these people "claim to be medicare providers" and bill the govt for patient services that were never completed. OR there are providers that bill for services that they should NOT be billing (filing fees for one, or they bill for two many services..they bill for taking out eye lashes..sorry thats counted as just one service).  Medicare is getting better at catching these people but by the time they do and can prove it, its too late.  Those fake providers dont usually pay back what they owe. Just because a settlement is won..doesnt necessarily mean that payment will come. In California, I know some drug dealers did that in ONE OFFICE and filed over 2 million dollars worth of claims (and were paid) in 4 years. How they gunna pay that $2mil when they are sitting in jail?? They cant. And people blame the president?? Come on..its not just about the president or the cabinets decisions..its about A-holish people doing this stuff too! Thats your money, my money, our future's money.

In Article: New Town schools forcing all kids to learn Hidatsa

Why do we keep bringing up the racial issue.  This is a problem with the school and it's lack of options, not some issue over who was here first.  Stick to the topic, please!

But since you bring it up, I have often wondered how people feel about this.

Say you own a plot of land, you are down on your luck so you decide to sell the plot to Mr. John Doe.  Mr. Doe brings cash and it is considered paid in full.  - - - - - - -20 years go by - - - - - - - - Land values go up with time and you regret selling your land.  Can you go and track down Mr. Doe and try to get more money for the land you sold to him all those years ago?  No, you can't.

Even better say you were the person buying the land, how would you feel if the former owner, who you have already paid, tracked you down and demanded that you pay for the land again and again?

I know the land under the lake is getting paid for over and over, but the thing nobody talks about here, is the FACT that there was non-natives that owned land that is under the lake.  No matter if you like it or not, they paid for their land too.  It wasn't them took the Indian's land.  The government made these deals with the Indians.  A lot of times, they drew up shady deals to aquire it.  But the fact is the land was then sold to people that actually worked hard to buy it from them. These people have never had any reimbursement for their land.  Every time I hear the same old argument of how the tribes land was lost when the lake was formed, I think what about the rest of the people that had land that was flooded there.

Now I tend to avoid these arguments as I live in the heart of the reservation, but when I run into narrow minded people on either side of the argument, something needs to be said.

This post is a school issue as far as I can tell, lets keep it as that.   As long as the school is considering itself a PUBLIC school, getting tax money from the US Govt. to operate, then it would be very wrong to ask that non-natives to move away.  Are you stuck in the 50's?  Maybe you miss the days of segregation?  Until we do away with all these negative viewpoints, will we ever getting beyond the race issues.

Great ideas, but the main thing needed is Capital Punishment for all States, no more reform, just a bullet between the eyes for, killers, rapist, child molesters, medicare and medicaid fraud, etc.....
