Heres the problem, yes crime is getting worse in ND but guess what? Crime is getting worse other places as well thus giving you basically the same gap in crime rate you had before. In other words, you can have a low crime rate and still have crime. Reply...
I agree with what Take Back is saying. you say crime is low here. Which depends what you consider low. There is alot more crime here now than before. Just in the past month there was rapes, vandalism, robbery, murder, attempted murder. Laughing you lived here 30 years. Go back 30 years and see how much crime there was compared to now. It would be pretty low. compared to now. And neighborhoods. I could show you some awful neighborhoods that are probally considered the 'Ghettos' Just drive around town. Not to hard to figure out what neighborhood you wouldn't want to be walking in late night. with all these area businesses coming in and not enough workers. and with foreign people and people from other states that wanna live here. It is gonna be worse. Reply...
Take Back: ND crime is low and regardless of what you compare it too. You do not have to compare it to a crime ridden city to reach that conclusion. Sell ND as a low crime state like it is. Telling people you have bad neighborhoods only misleads people into thinking what "THEY" consider to be a bad neighborhood. That was my point and if you don't like it that is fine but don't tell me to get off my high horse over something stupid. I love North Dakota. Lived there for 30 years. Loved everything but the cold. Spend weeks every year back in the state visiting family and friends. Forgive me if I have a different view of things than you. Reply...
What dont you get laughing the point is to North Dakota standards these are our bad neighborhoods. So dont compare us to the bigger crime ridden cities and thats the way it is BOY. Reply...
What a stupid comment Take Back America. What high horse? My comment was that why make it sound like you have bad neighborhoods. People from outside ND have a complete different picture when you say that then what you mean. If you were selling your state to someone else, why would you say something like we have bad neighborhoods when its not the case. That was my point but if you think it's more important to pick fights, you truly are a hick. Reply...
You know what laughing compared to the craphole cities like La Chicago New York we might not have so called bad neighborhoods but here in good ole North Dakota where you can forunately leave your cars and houses unlocked there are bad neighborhoods to our standards.
So get off from your high horse and use your head instead of thinking your so worldly and we are all a bunch of hicks here in North Dakota
SPED. Reply...
It must be a difficult life living in fear and creating ideas that somehow any neighborhood in ND would be considered bad by anyone outside of ND. Thats the wonderful thing about ND, safety. As a native of ND I would think one would want to sell that safety rather than try and make it sound bad for some reason. Reply...
What's really scary is we don't know the names of the people that committed the specific crimes I have listed. They have not been caught! They are all still out there! Reply...
You don't really want me to name all the child molesters that live in the poorer neighborhoods where families live and what their crimes were and how many times they have already recommited do you? Reply...
If you believe you have bad neighborhoods in Bismarck than you should try living somewhere that "really" has bad neighborhoods. My suggestion is think somewhere outside of ND. I suppose you could say Steele has bad neighborhoods also. :) Just because a crime happens someplace doesn't mean its a bad neighborhood. The fact you can name the crimes tells me how few there are..... Reply...
For Laughing~ there are bad neighborhoods in Bismarck Mandan. You obviously don't live in one and don't follow the news. We have children getting raped on playgrounds, we have child molesters unsupervised living among areas where children play outside. Recently we had a lady go out because there was a disruption and she was raped by her house by 2 men. Drunks walk around in the early morning hours in dazes. You are mislead if you believe children are safe out in the wee hours of morning. Reply...
The state paer does not represent the state. The state paper is responsible for public notification on all state wide notices. That requires that they be available statewide. The Tribune is the only paper in the state that is available state wide (for the most part). Try finding the Herald in Minot or Bismarck or The Forum in Minot. No other paper wants it because they don't want to pay the circulation costs. NOw we could talk about why the state doesn't lead u into the technology age and provide public notices only via the internet, which would make them availbale 24/7/365 for the public to view. this lady is the worst reporter. if changing stories around and making them sound worse for the sake of sales, were the actually the job of a reporter, she would so rock. my question, why does she live to make some people miserable? is that what the tribune asks of its reporters? sucks so bad! sorry about the brutal truth, but someone has to be truthful. Reply...
I had a Bismarck Tribune route when I was a kid and that was one of the best things I had ever done. I was able to purchase many things that my family otherwise could not afford. Plus, I learned many extremely valuable lessons as a child, like customer service, money management, sales skills, confidence, etc. Today, I manage a multi-million dollar company and attribute those early years delivering the paper as establishing the foundation of my success.
Also, as far as I can recall, a youth carrier for the Tribune has never been harmed or injured. Reply...
The Grand Forks Herald does not make endorsements - Even though it's parent company does. Reply...
Newspapers have been endorsing candidates for years and years all accross the nation. Like it or not its common practice and not just in Bismarck, ND.
Bad neighborhoods in Bismarck/Mandan?
Laughing Laughing Laughing Reply...
Someone told me that some Clay Jenkinson (I dont know if he is a reporter or what) from the Bismarck Enquirer wrote an article about how wrong it is to put Rodriguez and Sadaam to death
this is what I am talking about this publication isnt even good enough for A$$ Wipe as far as I am concerned.
If this is what their so called reporters report they have been bitten by the do good bug and have been blind sided by the East coast touchy feely reporting.
I have not and will not read the article or the tribune for that matter, But I have one question for this Clay Jenkinson if that was your daughter Rodriguez did this to then would you feel this way? Reply...
I don't miss those days getting up early and walking through deep snow and freezing to get the paper out. And the worst part of the job was 'collecting'. Some customers would tell you to come back. and when you did they weren't home. But now these kids have it easy now. They don't have to go out collecting.. Bottom line is the Trib is making money and ripping the carriers off. From the taxes you have to pay as well.. And Please quit calling me to subcribe. If I want the your Toilet paper newspaper. I will call you. Or I will put you on a no call list.. Besides your news is 'OLD' news. Reply...
It ISN'T just KIDS that deliver the Tribune! I for one go out every morning to deliver the paper, i'm far from being a kid! My son will help when he needs some extra $$. If and when he does help, he is NEVER without me by his side! Gripe, gripe, gripe! Reply...
