I played in the SMCHS VS BHS state championchip game at hughes field 1985.   It was like 17 degrees - stands were packed - we lost but it just wouldn't be the same memory if we had played on turf in a dome 200 miles away. Reply...

The community bowl is turf too! But at least it is outdoors. Reply...

Yea I was discussing this last night that there won't be a Championship weekend until there is a dome in Minot, Bismarck, Dickinson, or Williston.

Besides Bismarck is about as middle ground as you can get. The Community bowl has more than enough seating, Dickinson States's new stadiums should easily be big enough as well.

Football should be played outside, besides this turf is very hard on the body. Reply...

The problem I have with it is the fact that all of the games are in GF or Fargo no matter who is in the championchip.   Indoor games are okay but this weekend would have been great weather for a game at the community bowl.

I know alot of the class B kids have to buy special shoes just for 1 game at the domes.

We have alot of places to get ribs n pizza!  If you decide to come to ND, come in the summer..you will freeze your padooders off in winter haha..  Reply...

Knoephla soup rocks. I'm not from ND but moved here about 2 years ago and I love that soup. I don't particularly care for Burger Time however, sorry but I do really love Dakota Farms and Krolls Diner. Yum. Reply...

If you'd like to know more about Kroll's Diner, here's a link:

If there was only one restaurant that represented North Dakota, it would be Kroll's!  (Coming in second would be "Old Main" in Devils Lake)

I must apologize for that last part of that I thought I had deleted it. I was harsh and mean spirited.

Anyways most North Dakotans are of European descent. The largest ancestry groups in North Dakota are: German (43.9%), Norwegian (30.1%), Irish (7.7%), Native American (5%), Swedish (5%) and French 4%. Reply...

By the way you must be in fourth grade for being that big of and idiot. By your assumption you must be racist because you didn't mention Irish/Norwegian/Italian/ Native American/Asian foods. Reply...

The main food group that I have found in North Dakota is Alcohol.

Seriously, I'm surprised no one has mentioned Happy Joes. Shame on y'all.

I guess now the main food group here is Mexican. If you don't like Mexican you are a racist!

Being a first generation German I tend to like that group of foods, meat, taters, Borscht, Knefla, Strudels, vegetables.

Most people here tend to shy away from their ethnic backrounds and foods. I won't mention which ones but very few flaunt their backrounds and then there are others who think the world revolves around their ethnicity.

I tend to eat the same foods I did at home when I was a child and my parents were recent Emigrants to this great country.

To answer the students question, you may be invited to someones home to share a meal and it may be something from their backround or it may not be. Be prepared for a surprise.

Best wishes

Just seems funny you blame the scrawny dogs on fat people and Indians - so only fi & thealthy white Americans can care for anything properly????

Get a life and quit being a raciest scum bag!

The dogs were shot - hate to tell you stray dogs become mean, they form packs and kill people - even raciest white people would have to agree they would not want their child or grandchild attacked by cute house dogs that are now crazed and running in a pack...

And as far as animal abuse it is not just fat people who do it - those dogs outside the casino could have been left by summer people that's how a lot of dogs get left as strays in the Indian reserve but Indians are decent they DON'T shoot them or physically abuse them, they throw them scraps when they have them - but they are just that strays who belong to no one - if you want them all go get them, feed them, fatten them up - give them a home and everyone will be happy... but until you go claim them all when an owner cannot be found they will be killed - because that is more humane than letting them starve to death or freeze solid when winter comes.

Stop being a raciest pig who thinks because they are white they are better - this state you live in was once the home to many indians you live here because you stole the land, killed or enslaved it's inhabitants an now you give them land to live on that 'white men' have raped of it's assest, fauna and flora, and you think they should feel privliaged to have it... and knowing all this you still feel superior? Go crawl back under your rock!
