Happy Birthday Si.

The box is finally on its way. There is a big fat ELLE mag on the bottom of it...I needed padding. Enjoy the read, hahaha!!!  BTW,  The funniest thing happened to me today.

Big Lots...shopping, get scotch tape, scissors, and  packing tape. Leave store 11:40, in the car I use new scissors to cut up my bubble wrap, wrap bottles and tape with new scotch tape. Drive to Post Office....11:47, 20 people deep in line, i grabbed box...build box using my packing tape fill it with mag, wrap, and bubble wrap bottles....tape it all up fill out address label...while in line. Finally 11:55, box on scale....it happens that I had grabbed ready post box...big bucks send/pay by weight....not the priority box that is if it fits it ships....OMG...WTF....Are you kidding me? Do I have time to switch 'em over? yes if you hurry I'm told.  Now i run to the right box kiosk and start in....built box, taped switched over everything...address label....more tape...back at counter......11:59. DONE!!   I was on my knees on the post office floor....both times  packed the boxes....what a riot. everyone though...nobody thought I was crazy....it was like watching a beat the clock or price is right game....LOL!!!

True Story.....So Tuesday hopefully you'll receive it.

Yummy, The following are our clients brands,  Cue` Culture Apricot Habernaro  BBQ Sauce, Shipwreck Galley Olives and Gin Salsa, Butcher Block BBQ Sauce, Butcher Bill's All American BBQ Sauce, Culinary Arts(our brand) Toasted Tamari Teriyaki, and Culinary Arts Mushroom Pan Gravy.  ENJOY!   Be honest in your feedback please. The Cue is my fav of that brand. The salsa is my fav of that brand, the mushroom gravy is my fav of our brand.  You'll like the Tamari best....I think...or the Cue` just a hunch.  Tell me if I am right...K? K!

Love ya guys,

Hi everyone how are you today? I am sorry I have not been here, Wednesday and Thursdays are really busy with the soup kitchen and I had a Minot Downtown Business Professional Meeting. That makes me sound important, NOT, I just go to represent the Episcopal Church on Main Street.  The Christmas Train is coming onto Minot on the 17 of December so we are planning for that.  I like to be part of a larger picture and help with community events.  The Christmas train is very nice, Minot is a nice community almost everyone says hello, or Merry Christmas back when you say it to them. Others I won’t know what their problem is. Here is the link for last year’s Christmas Train

Last Thursday I took my two old friends to the Salvation Army Thanksgiving Dinner. You needed reservations, and we had them. So I sat them down and made sure they had enough food to feed a family on each of their plates then I sat down to visit with them. A server came to me and asked, “Would you like something to eat?” I said “Okay, but not much, this dinner is not for me”, so they bought this huge plate of food. It was always my intention to give my food to my friends, for them  to take home. There was ham on my plate, and that was a first for me.  Now there were about ten other people at our table, and I made a remark to one of my friends.  I did not think it was very loud, but there were many people in the room. I said “I hope God does not strike me dead for having Ham on my plate!”, and I put my ham on their plates.  This was all pertaining to me being a Jew, and my friends know I don’t eat that kind of food. Someone yelled from another table, “Why don’t you eat ham, are you a Jew? then the old poop laughed with his friends, I laughed  also, and said “Yes, and so was Jesus!”. I have learned that whenever people say something about me being a Jew, like in the Air Force, I just bring up the fact that Jesus was Jew, people tend to be quiet.

Yesterday for the soup kitchen, I made banana bars they are everyone’s favorite. It is a great way to use brown bananas, here is recipe for them, and I think we should start sharing favorite recipes. I know I use Marilyn’s recipe for Chili she gave once.   I love soup recipes for the soup kitchen.

Curly I am so glad you are back; I thought you were a snowbird for some reason, and were staying in Arizona for the winter. Thanks for your prayers I appreciate it. I am scared to death about this surgery, I keep telling everyone this is my last Christmas, and I just have a bad feeling.

KO, have a safe trip, I am sorry I can’t meet you for lunch today. I hurt my back with the fricking snow blower, does anyone know anyone that has a snow blowing business in NW Minot. I will even rent a kid; I have a snow blower and shovel.  Tell them to send me an E-mail, Theresamcewen@aol.com   .  I have funny story about Red Lobsters, I was banned from them in Maryland in 1978. I sewed them, I went to sit down in a booth and apparently a light bulb broke above the seat and no one cleaned it up. So they showed us to the booth, first I put my hand down and them my much skinner butt down. There was blood everywhere, and of course it was the time of wide white bell bottom jeans. I am always a jokester and tried really hard not to scream and I love to quote Shakespeare, I stood up and my hand was dripping blood and my ass was bleeding from about 40 shards of glass.  I stood up and said “A man can die but once” (King Henry IV), I passed out. I know I am over dramatic; I love dramatic moments and laugh whenever I can. That was a BIG lawsuit. Have I ever mentioned my dad was an attorney?   I have never gone in a Red Lobster since; I think it is a Phobia.

Care how is all the stuff happening with your house, is all the construction done? I have to look back to see what happened to your couch, that will be my quest for the day.

Shoppe all sound well with you, you will love these two Wal-Mart Photos.

Yup, that is what I did and the morning is a good one.  There is that pretty white fluffy stuff on the ground and now I can go get it off of the side walk and drive way.  The fresh air will do me good.  (What was I thinking to come back here to snow?)

It is good to be here and I have lots to do.  I first need to go to the grocery store and get some of the basic stuff like milk and a news paper.  Our service will start tomorrow.

so, on with the day

Curly....sorry to hear about your niece. It is sad. I had a friend who had several miscarriages before her son and another before her twin daughters. One thing I will never forget....I would talk to Tracy about everyday stuff, my stuff. She told me once that she liked that I would do that. Others would treat her like she was fragile or would tip toe around topics etc. She said I was the one that would just treat her like her and she really needed that at times. Just a thought!

Theresa.....my thoughts are with you too. I cant imagine having to read and sign papers like that.  Geesh, I had mixed feelings when I had to initial my left arm with a SHARPIE of all things...I had wrist surgery so prior to going into the OR they doped me up and had me initial my left side same side my wrist was getting work on.  On one hand i welcomed the thought that me and the surgeon was on the same page...but on the other hand....my gosh...what part of LEFT wrist is stumpin the surgical team?  LOL!

I'll be back with some pix of my diamond. Reply...

It went missing last year around Christmas time. Either someone stole it from my home or I vacuumed it up without noticing.. when i watch Wall E..the part where he sees a diamond ring n tosses it.. I just cringe!

One day I shall get another set. I also want this

Hello all,

I am going to take a couple of min. break from my task of getting the house closed up and our junk packed.  Depressing....

Nice to hear from you Theresa.  I hope maybe I can stop by the soup kitchen after we get home and I can meet you.  We never seem to connect so I think we need to make it happen.  We will be home ( I hope) on Thursday.  We fly into Bismarck tomorrow night and drive home from there.  If he is too miserable from the flight we will find a motel and stay over and drive home on Thursday.  I just hope the planes are on time etc.  It will be good to see  my friends and our family.  I am longing to go home and comfort our neice.  She is so sad.  It is bad enough but to have lost 3 now.  Oh dear.  I am praying for her too.

I know how hard it is to be concerned about a surgery.  I have been through it a time our two myself.  I will be pray ing for you too.

Well, back to it.

Hello everyone how are ( IS) (Spell check always says Is the correct word, let’s have a vote, I say are is correct) you today? It is snowing here, for those of you that don’t live around here. Care I see you are having rain soon, looking for Christmas from Maine. Curly it is so good to hear from you. What is the name of your local paper so we can Looky looks every now and then.  Curly I am so sorry for your niece; miscarriages are the worst, more mentally then physically. It is sad subject so we won’t talk about it much. Tell your niece I am praying for her and the soul of her baby. Wow I get so emotional lately. I am having real difficulty sleeping; the surgery I am having on December 30th has me so upset.  Signing a waver that they are not responsible if they poke an eye out, it making me leak cerebral fluid, is scary stuff.

On a lighter note I believe someone has kidnapped Buzz Light-year.  I think I know who has it; I am waiting for a ransom note. For those of you that were waiting for Buzz Light-year’s Photos from Thanksgiving, I felt really embarrassed to bring him out.  There were many small children there, whose family had nothing. I would have gave him away I know it. I am also embarrassed to show off my digital camera at places.  I think my digital camera is pretty over the top, and I don’t like to show off. Unless I am by good friends, it is a personal thing. Like at the soup kitchen I never wear my diamond rings. I have two with really big diamonds, oh here comes a Theresa story. So skip to next paragraph if you don’t care.  When I was twenty one in the Air Force, I was really tired of the men I was getting engaged to. They all turned out to be losers, okay maybe some were my fault. Well anyway when I was twenty-one I bought myself a full two carat diamond ring, with two carats of baggets around it. I decided no more engagement rings.   So when I met my husband in Korea, I said oh I don’t need a big diamond, I already have one. I was twenty nine years old. Well we did not get married until God had us stationed together in Montana. You all know me by now, I changed my mind, I wanted a big diamond and so that story went. So now I have two big diamond rings, I walk around most of the time with about eight carets on my two hands. When I go home to New York my father is afraid I am going to get my fingers cut off, that’s what they do in the city, a cigar cutter and off with the finger.

Shoppe your photos are so pretty, your daughter in law looks a little like you I think! Do you think she does just a tiny bit?

KO I already told you that we are having hot dogs, beans and salads at the soup kitchen.  There were hot dogs left from the Dinner with Santa last week, in downtown Minot. Hay is anyone going to The Dickens Festival this weekend?

Did anyone see the TV movie this weekend, “A Dog Named Christmas”, I recorded it on the DDR box, and I just watched it a little bit ago, I am still crying, I love Hallmark Movies.

Well I am going to go for now,

For my Shoppe

NOW SHE HAS BOOBIES..

Love Theresa, I hate Snow.
