And Pierogies in some neighborhoods.

I remember my Mom and Grandmothers making them. The whole dining room table would be covered with dough. And they had a production line for cutting to shape and  inserting all the goodies.

Those old girls worked their Heine's off. And us kids would go through them like Grant went through Richmond.

They also made all their own noodles and breads etc. I loved the smell of that house.

Pierogies are somewhat like Ravioli, very versatile, you can fill with Potatoes, veggies, meats cheeses and on, and on. And they filled the tummy, very important when you feed 20 people.

Best wishes, Bill

If you chose to move to Turkey, would you expect to adapt their culture or would you expect them to make special accomodations for you?  Melting pot, it is no longer.  Melting does not mean separate cultures in one country supported by the taxpayers of that country. Reply...

Here is the deal... when my family immigrated to New York in 1910 they came here with what they had and earned what they ended up with.. if they could not have taken care of themselves they would have starved to death..... there was no welfare only hard work and engenuity.... Reply...

We have different laws now... laws about criminal illegals.   We also have  9-11 now.. and terrorists that want us dead.   Each state will have to enforce its own borders now SINCE OBAMA WILL NOT ALLOW IT. Reply...

The problem now is there is NO heat on that melting pot in order to get it all mixed.  Instead we, and the government is the greatest culprit, provide 20-30 some different languages for everything, among other things, instead of saying "MELT". Reply...

I guess the melting pot didn't have to work to hard when most immigrants were from Caucasian Europe Reply...

The war isn't going to stop just because they moved to hte US.  And why move?  To get free stuff so they have more time to fight.

The catholic churches in Omaha, Nebraska are harboring illegal immigrants.  The catholic churches are down in numbers after the sex scandals, but the illegals and families are very religious.  Churches in Minnesota have added two more services every Sunday to accomdate all the illegals.  Meat packing company built parks and day cares for their illegals.

Poor people need to eat, but they need to be taught to feed themselves.  Churches are great for hooking people for all the "free" services that are out there.  I thought charity was the work of the church and the church should finance it.

I talked to a cop in Minneapolis in regards to the somalian immigrants,   he told me that many were part of two tribes who are at war with each other, and the war has continued with the immigrants in Minneapolis. Reply...

What really gets my goat is that we give MILLIONS of dollars to third world countries so that they can kill their unborn. Why not just TEACH them how to avoid getting pg in the first place? Oh wait...that's too simple and so much cheaper...we don't want to do that! Reply...

I do agree with you both..... No kids if you can't afford them IN ANY COUNTRY..... Feed the starving, its God desire for us...

But we need to think deeper.   Its like putting money in a bucket with a hole when we send aid,  money or food to some countries.. you know yourself the people don't get the help,  the  ones in charge keep it and sell it to other countries.

So, for us to stupidly give aid to countries like that is wrong.  We need to get the jerks out of power, then feed the people.

We absolutely have to keep feeding the starving people in other countries. That's not even debatable. To sit here and feed our fat faces while others go days without ONE meal a day, is unforgivable. Reply...

I will tell you when it will stop when you let your church know in no uncertain terms that you are not going to donate to them anymore until they keep that money stateside and stop using it to settle sexual assault cases and to bring third world citizens to America.... where they have a hard time adjusting......
