Theresa, I just read from the website.  What a sad horrible story.  Looks like it was an accident that just happened.

I will pray for her family,  so young.   Sounds like she was a wonderful young person.

Here a link for the story so far. Mr. Martinson owns a few restaurants here in Minot. I am really sad again.

Okay her name is Sarah Martinson, she was a student at NDSU, and was hit by a car in Florida, it was just on the news. Alexis, Sarah’s sister is my sons John’s best friend, they are always together. She graduated Minot High two years ago, John is very close with her family, I am sad myself I know her family. Any one reading this please pray for the Martinson Family of Minot.  How come these awful things seem to happen so close to prom or graduation?

Hi everyone, Curly there is some bad news that is happening I am not sure how bad yet. A girl from the high School got hit by a car last night while she was running by Hiawatha Ave. Everyone say a prayer and I will let you know what is happening. My son was crying on the phone, he wouldn’t give me much info, but he never cries.

Here's the cold harsh reality.  The days of MSU men's basketball being nothing other than a coach's graveyard are over.  I don't care how many scholarships can be financed, put them in the catagory with Crookston, Moorhead, etc.   To go with a philosophy of going with 4 and 5 year players recruited out of high school, which seems to be Hedberg's pipe dream and competing with Winona, SW Minnesota, Mankato, St Cloud, Northern St and other's is ridiculous.  If they join the Northern Sun, sniffing the upper division in that league is the only realistic goal and that once in a blue moon.

Even more troubling, is the hint of the "R" word that seems to seep from between the lines of public statements.  I feel bad for Hultz, but I think MSU did him a big favor, without even being able to realize it, albeit in a pretty unclassy way.

To the administration, AD and boosters behind this move, and the move to DII,  the expression of 'be careful what you wish for", could never be truer.

Good for you Theresa...1000 that is pretty good.  Did that count down one get this long??? Oh well who cares anyway?

What is happening in my world lately.. Well, our good friends from Riverdale ND just left for ND today.  Now who will I have playdates with.  She is the lady I quilt with.  In fact she is the lady that taught me to quilt.   Her hubby and my hubby worked together for years and years.  Oh well, we will be home after Easter if all goes as planned.  Hubby still having trouble sitting but I hope it will get better

Son is still in Fargo.  The time is going fast for all of them.  Our Granddaughter and her team won first place in the dance comp. in Jamestown on Sat and the Sat before in Brainard Mn, first place there too.  She is 9 and lives in Fargo.

I took a class on photos last night at the library.  was fun and I did learn some things.  It was a class on digital photos.

I am planning a birthday party for my Aunt.  She turns 70 soon and I am having a birthday fiesta.  I need ideas so if you have any... send them on.  For food I am making two kinds of enchiladas.  I am making tacos as well.  Maybe a few margaritas too.  I am inviting about 12  people so should be a nice amount.

Warm here today.  In fact it is spose to be 82.  I love it.  Have been outside working all day.  I am going for a walk now and just got of the elipitcal machine.  I am up to 6 min. now without stopping.  My friend from Minot that was here for a week helped me get started.  She gave me a few pointers and it sure helped.  My son told me I either need to get my legs strong enough to handle my weight on it or lighten the load.  Cute isn;t he.....   :o(   Smart alec is what he is.  Too bad he is right.

Well, on with the day.  Wish you could all be here for a few hours on the lounge chair soaking up the sun...

Later ladies!

Father O'Malley rose from his bed.  It was a fine spring day in his new  Washington   DC  parish.  He walked to the window of his bedroom to get a deep breath of air and to see the beautiful day outside.  He then noticed there was a jackass lying dead in the middle of his front lawn.

He promptly called the US House of Representatives for assistance.

The conversation went like this: "Good morning.  This is Speaker Pelosi.  How might I help you?"

"And the best of the day te yerself.  This is Father O'Malley at St.Brigid's...  There's a jackass lying dead in me front lawn. Would ye be so kind as to send a couple o' yer lads to take care of the matter?"

Speaker Pelosi, considering herself to be quite a wit, replied with a smirk, "Well now father, it was always my impression that you people took care of last rites!"  There was dead silence on the line for a long moment.

Father O'Malley then replied: "Aye, that's certainly true, but we are also obliged to first notify the next of kin."

I feel bad about you maybe not having grandkids.  Do you have any young nieces and nephews you can love on ?  "adopt" one of them, and have a ball...

My sister did that before she finally had her first one last year.  Her and her niece a little girl went and did everything together.. They are still so close, she is 18 now..

Okay now the rush is on, who will be the thousandth poster. How is everyone today, I am fine and thanks for asking. I was having fun on Facebook for a little bit. I love to play with the web cam, but I never leave my lap top open, so I know no one is spying on me. Not too much is happening, making brownies for the soup kitchen. Today I miss New York, the Saint Patrick’s Day parade, it is a good time. It is a big party day in Manhattan, thank goodness no one drives, and everyone takes the train.  Parking in Manhattan is a crazy thing. The only day I would ever drive into Manhattan is Sunday in the early morning. Parking spots are everywhere; you have to make sure you have tons of quarters for the parking slots. Someone told me that some of the parking machines are now taking credit cards, everything in Manhattan takes plastic, even the coke machines.

Curly when you go to the Grand Canyon, are going to go out on that new ramp you can walk out on. It is like two miles up and nothing below but clear plastic. I wonder how many people hurl on that thing every day?  I could not do it, too afraid of heights, take photos.

Shoppe you busy, I don’t know if I will ever see any grand kids, my oldest the NASA smarty has Aspergers as I have talked about before, he can’t handle being hugged, so he will mostly not marry. My daughter wants to get her tubes tied, she doesn’t want kids.  My son graduating this year wants to be a pilot in the Air Force or Navy, it depend on who offers the best pay for his school deal. I always told him Navy pilots are crazy, the navy has crazy rules for flying fast, and low to the ground. Let’s face it; you have to be a little crazy to land on a ship. He wants to have fun, marriage is the last thing on his mind. I am glad your husband is coming home. Shoppe I am a morning person, I am the person everyone hates, happy, happy at early hours, that’s when I have my energy to clean. At about four in the afternoon I start to slow down, always asleep by 8 hopefully 7.

KO, I know you are working, I just Yahooed you on my phone.

Have a nice day.  Theresa

Just got off the phone with a gentleman who is not a fan of the administration at MSU as well.  If past history speaks for itself, the AD will hire another friend and a name that was thrown out was Pete Stewart.  Believe the two are friends so we'll see if he hires the most qualified candidate or "friend"  who he sell Minot on that will take him to the promised land that he has so pushed the community to believing he can do.  Reply...

Hello ladies.

Nothing at all happening in NC..  The school did call at 10 and I had to go pick up Nate, he had thrown up... the school is 3 minutes away.

Other than that I am just enjoying a warmish day in the cul-de-sac..  This is my last night (for a while) on the airmatress.  My husband will be home tomorrow.  I will get my own house back.  Yea...

I will still see the grandkids each day when I pick them up from school, but I have been enjoying the nights, reading to them before bed, tucking them in...

how are you all today?

In Article: Child Support Law Is Unfairly Totally Against Men

You case sounds a bit better Flapps.   Most of the anger comes from the mom not letting dad see the kids,  or not spending the money on the kids properly, or having a rich guy to live with while the real dad struggles to give the child support.

I can see where the anger could come from..

When mom walked away,  dad took the 3 of us under 11 and we lived with his mom, just up the road.  He sold the little house (doll house size).. and we lived with his mom for 1 yr till he remarried.

DIVORCE is so cruel.  You never really get over being rejected.  I will say I am glad my dad took us.  He is a precious man.

There was never child support of course, mom didn't work.  Dad worked very hard and took good care of us.  He was home every night after work to have supper with us, he didn't go out drinking, drugging or whoring around.    That is a good man.
