I think he should serve at least 5 years for his crime against the taxpayers of ND. He is not above the law,he deserves no mercy. Reply...

This is such a joke. He did nothing wrong. They are just trying to make him spend his severance package on legal fees before he leave the state and heads back to Ohio. Reply...

If you would like to sign the WSI petition to get something done about the WSI mess stop by the table at the North Dakota State Fair. They are located just inside the east door of the KX commercial building directly across from the grandstand. Please stop by and have your voice heard. Reply...

yes chipper i agree, however i think most injured workers with ongoing claims may have been investigated i know i was. thus ensuring the taxes employers pay-in are not fraudulently wasted on dead-beat employees who fake these type of injuries. todays news terminating the whistle-blowers are more evidence that the turbulence is a two-way street and is part of the overall management improvement plan. I don't know what World the consults came from, but the real world with WSI isn't all roses. They (consultants) should called me. I would have told them how WSI and Crosscountry Trucking conspired to fire me because I got hurt on the job. WSI had a Private Investor follow me around and made a report back to them. Yes, I can prove it. I have all of the report that the investigator made. No, WSI needs alot of work, and a new consultant. No New York Big Consulting Firm. Reply...

i too had the lower back problems and had to learn to walk again. learning to walk was not done by crying and putting the blame on workforce safety. it ended right here with me, i followed the doctors advise to the letter, and thankfully i am back to being 70-85%, however somedays i do feel in the dumps, but with some positive attitude learned through my military days and long history of hardwork and keeping on i am a productive Dakotan. to mr blunt and armstrong north dakota is a better place because of your efforts here, good luck in all you do. Injured worker - sounds like you have alot more issues than being injured. Phew! Anyone who has to work FIVE jobs at a time needs to figure out WHY. Do you have any education?

This has become a sounding board for a few "injured" workers who were denied benefits by WSI. I can imagine many of them would be soft tissue back injuries. Yeah, right.

Funny thing - the person on the news speaking out for injured workers the other night - Alan (and I won't say a last name here but he knows who he is)- seems to spend alot of time at Prairie Knights Casino GAMBLING. Too hurt to work, no money, but he can play the slots pretty well!! What a JOKE. Reply...

I also have worked hard for 20 + years but can not any longer thanks to a work related injury. Not only that but I grew up on a farm in central north dakota where we had chickens, pigs, and cattle, of which three were milk cows. I remember chores before and after school everyday. That I believe where I started to learn about morals of hard work. I was also in the army for a while, but before that I worked in a farm machinery factory. After the army I had worked as many as four jobs at one time. Once I worked for 56 hours without sleep, slept for four hours and went for another twenty four hours. I worked hard because that was what I had learned to be correct. I began learning disrespect, dishonesty, and flat out corruption the day I was hurt at work. It now has been forteen years since my injury date and did try WSI's retraining. I have worked for five different employers since that time and can no longer find employment because of my work related injury and the continuing problems that I encounter to this day. Iam on so many different pain meds, some days its hard to remember my name. Would you hire a fifty year old person with that problem? I KNOW that you would not. Niether would WSI! Mr. Blunt was fired for a reason. It was planned in advance to remove WSI from the media spot light, that is the reason for the severence package. I do so disagree you and I will not call you a idiot. I will call you by your name Mr. Mark Armstrong, I believe you are next to be fired!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Reply...

I quess Hugo will not be signing the petition to return control to the govenor. My case has been a joke since 1993 and continues to this day. Since 1993 it has been a long and frustrating battle. I grew up on a farm here in north dakota and learned morals, values, and when a person could be taken for their word. I began working on the farm back in the mid 1960s. From there I learned the value of hard work and to treat all people fairly, not just the one's that could find a loophole to force an insurance company to help them if their premiums had been paid. The time period beore my work injury I had at one point and time worked five jobs at once, plus helped raise two kids. Since that time, Ive been deviorced, went back to NDSCS for a two year degree, remarried, and have had FIVE failed attemps to return to the work force. I also get to deal with chronic pain and numerous different meds, some days I cant hardly remember my name because trying to deal with chronic pain. Now that Iam about fifty years old I also have started to realize other things that Iam missing out on thanks to my work related injury. I see people my age driving $300,000.00 or better motor homes and have a nice big new home, big old 401k's because they did not lose their ability to work and support themselves. Either that or they're WSI employees. Until youve walked a mile in my shoes buddy, you have no right to call anyone a cry baby you stupid #*%&. Maybe you are Mark Armstrong trying to do what you canto try save your job, you sorry sap !!! Reply...

These consultant evaluations have been jokes. They sould give WSI firearms so they can just shoot injured workers. Dr. Long wrote a very good letter regarding his dismisal from WSI. That letter explains WHY he sould still be employed there. That is never even spoken or reported about along with how many state laws were broken regarding the whistle blowers that were terminated. There must be some federal law that a out of state attorney could inforce and sue the North Dakota tax payers for WSI's calous behavior. There must be a lawyer out there somewhere with a backbone, maybe even a doctor or two now , right Dr.Long. The next interm director will have all leftover management trying to show him how to screw over people or THEY WILL screw him over as theyve allready proven that they can..........keep watching its not over yet! Hugo, why dont you let me crush your heels and ankles, a compression fraction in your lower back, go through two years of surgery, go through a divorce, go back to college for two years, try work for five different employers that dont have the gonads to tell you why they LET YOU GO. then comes the other fun of trying to live with the chronic pain and all of the medicine you have to take try live day by day. Than you get so depressed that you start thinking about commiting suicide. Before my work related injury I had at one time worked five jobs at once and did them well, I have affidavits to prove that, plus I helped raise to kids which included cooking, cleaning, doing laundry along with ouside chores because we had our own home. I also grew up on a farm in central North Dakota which meant feeding pigs, chickens, and cows, and included milking cows, both morning and night. I guess that is also where I learned morals and values Hugo. Their has not been much of that displayed by WSI or the state of North Dakota. The whistle blowers should be the people running WSI, not the other way around. I keep hearing that their needs to be a new interm Ceo but my guess is that that poor person will get crapped on by the old management team quickly so that they can get back to busness as usual. If you believe that North Dakota has alot of cry babies bud, LEAVE THE STATE!!!!!!!!!! You are most certainly NOT a benefit to the people of this state or to the poor doctors that have to try treat injured workers as they are told to by WSI. I once heard to never judge a man until you have walked a mile in their shoes, want to try? I would do anything to have wy live back to the way it was prior to my work injury, do you believe that can be done. Now fifteen years later Iam strugling to live and make ends meet, sound like something that I ENJOY? At around fifty years of live with twenty of it being hurt and in pain I start to think about what if I had not been hurt. People my age have two or three new vehicals, new $500,000.00 motor homes and even bigger houses, and things like 401k's. I dont call it being a cry baby, I call it being reslistic, and there is not a dam thing I can do about because my ability to support my family and myself was taken away from me when I was injured at work. I believe that you are possibly a WSI employee like maybe Mark Armstrong, maybe trying to put some spin out there!!!!!!!!! Let's hear why Blunt was fired and also Dr. Long, WSI also spent money for the wrong reasons, open meeting law violations and flat out denile to it all. You can call me a cry baby but you are a blittering idiot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Reply...

you have to wonder who thinks they got the short end of the stick? i have personal experience with claims (multiple) which lingered for over three years, workforce safety not once denied me any opportunity for any type of benefits. these people at workforce safety encourage me to get back to the doctor, walk-in/emergency room. maybe my hard work over the past 20 + years may have had something to do with that. either way, thanks to sandy blunts administrative capability allowed me to be properly treated and i have been back on the job and being fully productive everyday. in reading the reports i fully agree with the statement that the agency is one of the best in country, its a shame north dakota has so many cry babies. As I stated earlier regarding the supposedly "wronged" worker you highlighted on your news one evening, you are not reporting the actual story involving WSI. There is much more to that particular story that actually would have been honest and newsworthy news. In my judgement you missed the boat and tried to "make" news instead of report the news.
