I think that would be a great experience Shoppe. My neice is 16 and shes been to El Salvador (last year) and Mexico (the year before) with her church. She is saving to go to Madrid I think?? next year. Her brother wants to be a priest when he graduates. He is 11. They have a very strong mother and they have been thru alot but they manage to get thru.
I finally went to church last nite.. well it was about 3 hours long but it didnt seem like it. I asked my aunt to sing a song and she wasnt able to because of time restrictions (they had some others come up n talk too) so she gave me a cd of her and her husband singing :):):) There was a family from SD who came up and sang too. Their daughter sings so beautiful and her boyfriend did a really neat rap song in memory of all his friends who didnt find Jesus n committed suicide.
Oh KISS was pretty good. I was so tired when we got home. It was a nite to remember thats for sure ;) Reply...

Morning all..
Yes, Sianna, it the ones on the horses. After 6 yrs of dating (two of which living together) you should have know if you would make it or not... I don't think they are going to make it.
My son is an all around nice guy. I don't see this as his problem. Maybe he just fell madly in love with the wrong person... who knows....
Today is a run around day for me, paying bills and such.
Samaritans Purse just sent my husband a Job-Match Questionnaire to fill out, and I wrote back reminding them that he filled one out last month... I sometimes think the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing..
vivian
For those who don't know my husband wants to go overseas on a mission trip (building or church planting) for a year or two. Its just in his heart and its ok with the family, all of us... Reply...

I agree Curly. There are good and bad drs and chiros.... Have to be very careful.
I have had nothing but good experiences in the past 30 yrs with Chiro.
I pray you and your husband both get healed of your back problems.

I am really happy I do not have to work today. Yes! I don't really mind but it has been slow except for yesterday in the dippin dots.
Shoppe, I do not usually go to chiropractors. Much of my husbands back problems came from a chiro. He would not release him from care to go see a regular doc. We had to threaten him with a letter from an attorney. He was the first doc my hubby went to after his injury so he was considered my husbands primary doctor. He was a very rough, hard charging milipulations chiro and we are 95% sure he is the one who ruptured two disks and the rest is history. So no, I do not go as a rule. I used to though. I don't usually go to the doctor about my back either. I just take a few anti inflamatorys and use some ice and it usually gets better on its own. It is better now in fact. Thanks for asking. Well here I am. 4:30 in the morning with insomnia and a nasty back ache. I think the back issue is causing the insomnia. Took some pain releif pills and hope it will help soon. Was gonna go to church at 8:30 and on to work at 11:00 but thinking if I do get to sleep I will sleep in. Yawn!!!!
Working at the fair is going well. Had a fun day in the dippin dots cart. Literally, felt like I was digging in it all day. Kept me cool anyway. Did a great deal of people watching and there was lots of business. One little boy was back about 3 times. With GRandpa twice and Mommy once. He was so cute. He wanted to taste test the ice cream. I would put some on a spoon and try to hand it to him to eat himself but he just opened his mouth and let me feed him a taste. Must have been about 4 or so. Great day.
Not much else new here. EXCEPT, our son is back on US soil and will be home on August 4th. WE will go to FArgo to see him that next week end. He is in Geogia testing for his next stripe. (captain) He goes back to work for Microsoft in the near future. I think he is getting a couple of weeks to adjust to his life at home and reconnect with his wife and kids. So glad.
Well, night folks. Gonna try again to get some sleep. Reply...

Si Ko, I do hope things are working out again with the family. Its hard to let the little ones go, but it seems he is having a nice time with grammpa..
My husband had to have a physical today because he wants to double his life insurance..... The EMT examined him, took blood and said he has the weight, blood pressure, and heart of a 25 yr old... Wow... husband is 67...
That was real good news. Since he had to fast all morning, we went out to Capriccios Pizza and had a great lunch..
Grandsons just signed up today for Fall baseball (andrew, 9) and soccer (nate, 6)... I have so much fun at their games, keeps me young.
Husband is still wanting to go overseas for a year or two. SIM ministry seems to be a good place to start, but you have to raise your own funds. That may be the hard part in this economy. We shall see.
Otherwise all is fine with me and my family.
The bad news, my son from wilmington nc called yesterday and said the D word. its only been 8 months since the marriage, but they did live together 2 yrs before that and have know each other 6... things just aren't working out.... I feel very sad for him. I am totally OK with them breaking up. Sounds crude I know, but I also know alot of what goes on. So, pray for my son and his wife (maybe X)....
thanks,
vivian

Hello everyone.
It is so good to see this post back. I was going to search for it and update everyone and see how ev eryones summer is going.
I have been busy! We have had our granddaughters here in Minot with us since the forth. Then we went to Fargo on Weds last week to take care of them there. We also watched our little grandson (2) WE had fun but it is challanging at the least. He is a very busy little guy. A person needs roller skates to keep up with him. They also have a huge house and 4 pets to keep track of. Three kids, 4 pets and lots of noise. Glad to be home to our quiet house. Feels good. Doesn't it feel good to get home to your own home and bed? I posted a fun story back on a post about the health care bill being stopped that Shoppe posted. Go back and read it, pretty funny. I am too lazy to retype it. Sorry!
Things have been a little tough with my husbad of late. His pain level is over the top. We have determined te surgery he had has not helped in the least. I feel so sad for him. He suffers so much at times. It is very bad right now because of being active with the kids.
So sad to hear you are still not doing well Theresa. Is there nothing that can be done for you? I have a friend that had radiation on her brain tumor. It was not cancerous but the radiation killed it so it did not grow back. I sure wish some one somewhere could help you. If you need anything, call and I will be happy to help.
Hope all is well for you. Nice to have you back on the site Viv. It get so slow when you are gone. What do you think happened to our Az friend Rye on this forum? I wonder if Eric banned him. He sure got nasty at times.
I am going to start working at the fair on Friday. I am not really looking forward to it but I want the extra money so I guess I will do it. It will go fast once I start.
Well, hope all is well in your world!
Le Le Le later folks!

Hello every one it is great too hear from you Shoppe I thought everyone left. I am still not doing well but lets not talk about that. Those Marines at Camp Lejeune Shoppe, God Bless the Marines. How is everyone’s summer going? It is so hot around the USA, my father calles me everyday to tell me how it is in New York, I hate to tell him I am watching the Today Show and know exactly how hot it is. I have a funny story from when I was home with my father he is such a character. We were sitting in his kitchen watching the TV that is mounted on the wall, and we were playing scrabble. I only tell you it was mounted on the wall because he screams at the Yankees all the time when they are on, while he does his paper work at the kitchen table. Do you guys know the rules of scrabble have changed you can now use capital letter words like the months and days of the weeks. Well any way a commercial came on for “Intense KY jelly in Chocolate and Strawberry Flavors”, I wasn’t paying any attention. So I want you to think with your best old Jewish man voice, “So Theresa What do you need a man an woman need jelly for, to make a Sandwich?” I shook my head and I laughed, I tried really hard to hard to think of a good answer. So I said “Dad it’s like a flavor you put on your girlfriend or boyfriend to make the taste better.” Then he said “I wonder if Nancy will let me put it on her, and do they sell it at Target?”” I threw up a little in mouth, Nancy is his 63 year old girl friend, one of four, yes my dad is a player. I can’t go on much longer it hurts to see. I hope everyone is doing well. I love and miss youz guize. Theresa If I made many mistakes I can’t see. To fix them. Sorry

87 pages... can you girls and a couple brave guys believe this? Great thread.
Its good to be back talking to all of you. We spent 5 days staying in a house of a friend, then 5 days camping in Jacksonville NC...UNBELIEVABLY HOT... thought we would die. :( we bought a couple of battery fans then we were pretty fine..
There is a sign at Camp Lejeune:
Pardon our Noise, its the sound of Freedom.
And yes, we heard it all day and most of the night... bombs, airplanes, choppers, guns... it was great. Felt safe and very proud of our troops....
BLESS OUR TROOPS.. Reply...

Shoppe I also ate some grate pizza in New York, and went to Peter Lugers http://www.peterluger.com/ in Brooklyn for the best steak in the world. I went with half the guys from the Brooklyn Fire Department, we had a good time. Two of my uncles died on 9/11 that were firemen one was this fire house. I hung out there as a kid, dated a few of the guys as a girl, was engaged to one of them, and he claims that I joined I the Air Force because of him. In a way he is correct, I had to get away from him. We are still friends, so fifteen guys and a gals the bill was $2,300.00. Not really bad if you consider a steak dinner is $50.00, Heineken $5.00. They already work the tip in we told her to work in 25%, because we were there for a long time, and she did a good job. Shoppe you would not believe the beaches on the east shore of Long Island, the North Easter that came through a few months ago wiped all the beaches out, The Hamptons are a Wasteland, I did make it out the one day for a shark lunch, that was also a great day. I bought a few new purses at the Dooney and Bourk store out there. You most likely did not see it in the news up here that someone got arrested for catching a great white in the Hamptons, he said “I didn’t know I thought it was a nurse shark”, I will try to find the story. The call shark fishermen anglers also, doesn’t that seem weird, to be call an anglers just like a lake fisherman. Here it is
http://www.newsday.com/long-island/suffolk/feds-probe-tournament-angler-who-kept-great-white-shark-1.2044701
I am also glad you little guy is doing well also.
Sick-O I am so proud of you. Being a real weather man, maybe you take the job of that kid who is doing the weather up here. You must be so proud of yourself. Has Obama cut your finances for a masters program? I know he really affected my son’s school loans on his Doctorate. This is not the place for politics. I hope you find a school to continue your education. How much rain have we received so far this month? It sure seems like it rains allot, I am so glad to be out of New York it was so fricking hot there. You want to know how hot it was, it was so hot that the firemen were turning the fire hydrants on for the kids themselves. It was that hot, that never happens. How is your family? Hay Sick-O I have to buy a computer for my son for college, the minimum requirements say it has to have a Vidio-NVIDIA Quadro VVS 135M. What does that mean? The Lap top computer I want to buy him that cost almost $2,000.00 has “1GB ATI Mobility and VGA ports-for quad core processors graphics card”. What is that, and is that the same thing?
Grant, how are you and Mrs. Grant? It is nice to see you are still here. You’re off cooking and loving life, standing up for the military, thank to all of you that support the military. It always makes my heart warm with pride to see good things.
Care, Care, Care, where have been, Como esta? I see you on Face book I haven’t been happy and Buzz has been kidnapped. I see you and that wild hair thing you have going on. You are always the wild child on Face book. The Harley girl I love you, I am glad the Shelbenator is doing great; I know you have having some heat up in Maine. How is Softball going, maybe see will get a scholarship, that would be nice, what great college is in Maine?
Marilyn how is all your doggies? Every time I see that commercial with the Boson Terriers I laugh and think about you and your cute doggies.
Finally I think I responded to eveyone. If anyone can help me buy this mega lap top, I have allot of specs for it.
For now, Theresa from the hood out.
Shoppe for you.

I am sure this is my daughters boyfriend!

Oh Marilyn you are so correct, I am seeing double and blurry I am still very sorry for your friend KO. I feel silly now, but I am glad it was not your husband. I am on some serious drugs and not suppose to be driving. I copy all the posts and paste them and in a larger font. I type in a large font, but still see double. I am having another brain scan on Wednesday; I don’t want to talk about me.
Shoppe how are you, sister from another mother? Shoppe I don’t care what anyone tells you about your palpations, go to a doctor tomorrow, if not today. You know heart disease is the number one killer of women over the age of 10. Listen to someone that has two very real heart attacks, go to a doctor, and get checked out. No Gatorade please get checked out. I wish I could go to the movies. I would see double everything and the noise would kill me. I would love to see “The Last Airbender”. I read your posts whenever I get a chance, you and Sick-O have something smart to say.
Oh Curly sorry I never got back to buy a plant, I never could remember to go that way when I had time. Most of my plants died while I was in New York. I was so concerned about making sure someone fed my doggies that I just took for granted someone would feed the plants. I still don’t know what is happing with my elephant plant, it has nice flowers. I told my husband it was tropical plant and might be some kind of drug, he just laughed. There are four flowers now, I can’t find anything about elephant plants having flowers, and maybe e-bay sent me the wrong plant! I know how you must feel about your son I was on a remote to Embassy Duty in Moscow for six months while in the Air Force. I had three children at home. Heck I did not miss my husband every time we separated from each other it was like a paid vacation, because he got double paid for being away and I got to keep it, I missed my kids so much, so much. I also went to Oman during Desert Storm in 1990 that was also difficult.

Oh dear, did I miss something? I thought it was a friend....who passed away.
Glad to see you back Theresa. I sure wish you felt better. Maybe they will find something to help you with all the new docs we are getting here in town.
It is amazing you got that book Theresa. What were the chances of that? I bet your Dad was so happy to have you too himself. If I could make a wish, that would be one of mine. To have our son to our selves for a few days. Not forever, just a little bit. He will be home on Aug 4th. Looking forward to that.
Our granddaghter are coming for a few days to stay with us. maybe tomorrow.
Well, gonna go work on a gargae sale I am planning.

Hello everyone, and how are you today? I am just swell! I am sorry it has been such a long time; I went home to New York without a computer. I just wanted to spend time with my Pop’s, he is not getting any younger and I wanted to make some great memories. I was not feeling very well; I did not even go see the Yankees squash the Mariners! It is a good thing I didn’t go because it didn’t happen and I would have wasted a night of my life. I have been cleaning out clothes from my closet, and not I am getting ready for John to go off to college in a month, then I will be back full time, I am so glad we are still here.
Let’s see if I can check and see what everyone has been up too, first my good friend SiKo, there is not a day a day that I don’t think and pray for you, really I pray for all of you. I have been trying to find a relationship with God. I am going to go off track for a minute here for a minute; while I was home I went to the Synagogue with my Father. I am not a practicing Jew, but the prayer is always pure to God the Father. Just a little something about the Jewish customs, each family is to buy a prayer book to leave for the Synagogue and it stays there forever. I just happened to take an older book because sometimes in the older books people who buy them are allowed to write their stories, I just happened to get my grandfathers and grandmothers’ book. I mean what are the chances out of thousands of books I got their book, I showed my father and he had never even seen it before. We cried trough the service. At the end of the service we stayed and read their story. It was the story of how my grandfather escaped Germany in 1930 and came to the United States; Germany was just becoming a racist country. Well I asked permission to have it copied and I did. I will add it to Ansestry.com stories.
Back to Si Ko Oh My God Si KO I am so sorry, I am going on about stupid stuff then I turn the page and read Your husband Just Died. I don’t know what to say. This is a moment of prayer for you ………………………………………………………………………….
Shoppe, Grant, Care, Curly and everyone else I need to go to the doctors at one I will be back.
Oh My God Ko, I am so sad for you. I wish I could give you a big hug..
Theresa
