Hate to admitt this (even to myself) but seeing the snow in your pctures makes me lonesome for home.  Yikes!!  I know it is only because we are pretty much here and not getting out much.  He can't stand to sit much so even over to my aunts house is torchure.   Oh well, gonna go out and so yard work today.  That should make me feel better.  I know it is also that i am not satisfying my emothions with food.  That is a big part of it.  I am telling you guys all this cause I don't want to tell anyone else who will worry about me.  I am really fine, I am coping but not without effort.  Have to learn how to deal with emothions some day.  Might just as well be this day, right?  Will check in     Later!

Hi Ladies.  Yes, care... great game.

Today is the kids  100th day, so they need to try and dress very old... So the 6 yr old went in his flannel shirt, highwater jeans and put a bit of white flour in his very dark black hair.   Cute.

My parents and several sisters (and families) are without power.  Ohio and Pennsylvania got 12 inches of heavy snow, so so many are without electricity.

We are fine in NC, just got alot of rain, nothing else.

All is well, today is my son JASONS  33 birthday.  Hard to believe.  He was the easiest of the 3 kids.  I think it was 5 hrs from    first contraction till I held him.   Such a sweetheart.

Hope you are all well.

Care, hope your job works out....

Theresa, hey girl.

Si ko.. Curly.... big hey.. :)

Where is sneakycat lately?

Care, sorry to hear your job is in jeopardy.  I am so thankful I no longer am in business.  It is pretty scary right now.  Although Minot and ND seem to be doing pretty well.  I am still glad I don't have to do that any more.  I do miss my customers though.  I think small business is the engine that drives our economy for jobs and there is just nothing to help them.  From experience I know that by the time you pay all the unemployment, workmans comp, match social security, very few dollars are left.  Hope your company can stick it out.

No news here either.  I tried to sew yesterday but made one mistake after another so I gave up.  Watched an old western on tv.  Silverado.  I have seen it several times before but is always good one.  I like westerns.

Oh wait there is OTHER NEWS......

I met Shayne's new man.....he seems nice. A bit quiet...I am sure that will change. LOL!

Work, the company is going to hell in a hand basket. I hope we can weather this storm. it is quite scary though.  I have been with these guys since 2000.......scary to think that we could very well go under. Our products are good, our cients are good. It is just that the cash has dried up...vendors calling for payments.....we are so very behind.....shut off notices left and right. I know we dont political here on this thread...but today....all I can think about is SMALL BUSINESS.....we need a bailout pronto!!!!!!!!!!!!

Outside of that......all is well.

Again ladies, have a good day!!!!

In Article: New Town schools forcing all kids to learn Hidatsa

I love how people are commenting about how no one will ever use this language beyond the reservation, but where the heck are you going to use German and French? Spanish might be useful, but the other two? Not so much. Also, it's an AMERICAN language that they are teaching, and AMERICAN Indians have every right to have their languages taught as any other. Children who do not have English as a first language are forced to learn it so that they can go to school, at least if other children know the language, even a little bit, transition will be easier for them. This way, more people will feel comfortable teaching kids Hidatsa or Arikara or Dakota and such if they know that they will be able to succeed in school. If tribes do not have a language, they will lose their sovereignty, but more importantly, they will lose their culture. Everywhere around you, you'll see traces of European culture, but what about us? We need at least SOMETHING to remind us that we exist and are native and are human too.

Sewing!  Call me bad, my sons bought me a new sewing machine 2 yrs ago (yes, 2 yrs) and I have yet to put the parts on and getter done.   But I love to sew,  just don't like reading directions.

HAD A BLAST today at Andrews 9th birthday.    Huge iceCream cake,  4 pizzas from papa johns... hotdogs, other chips and things.... 19 of us in the house.  Thank God it was a nice 45 degree day, so after opening gifts we played outside.. It was a great time had by all.

Getting ready to watch the GAME...

I drove past my favorite wings place and didn't stop by for  any takeout.. I know at halftime I will live with that regret. :(

Hug your kids, Hug your spouse.  Life is what we make it.. :)

In Article: Child Support Law Is Unfairly Totally Against Men

I am in the same boat as most here.Over half my income is taken for child support and the kids are kept from me! I do not drink, smoke,do drugs or curse but am not allowed to see my children.I dont mind paying child support but i do aggree that we should be left enough to survive.I recently lost my truck because my cs payments were increased(over doubled) and i could not pay for my truck anymore.

I got laid off and am having a harder time finding work because i have no vehicle. What irritates me is that they enforce cs but not visitation..My kids want to be with me, but the local sheriff dept will not even do a civil stand by just to witness me being denied my rights for no reason.I have gone to pick them up and she had taken them to her parents or just flat out denied me my rights with the children standing there in tears wanting to go with me,begging to go with me but being told to go inside instead! I have had my kids throw their arms around me and beg to go while they cried (and i also cried)only to have the police called on me (i was on the sidewalk, public property)made to leave with my children bawling to go with me!!Does the government as wll as the mother think that ths does not harm the children;or that we as fathers have no feelings and that we deserve this treatment?!?! I for one want to pay child support, but i also want fair treatment,my rights enforced, and the government to back up all the fathers who are in the same boat as I am!!

All i get told is to hire an attorney(which i cant afford)I have to split rent just to have a place to live!

I am starting a Fathers rights
and am looking for Fathers who love their children
and are dedicated to the idea that Fathers(Dads)
are vital to their children just as much as the mother is!
This is a group that will be different from
all others.
The basic idea of this group will be to work as
ONE to help improve our standing in the eyes of
our government who has run over us or just plain
old forgotten that we exist and that
we are citizens of the USA and that we deserve
fair treatment and justice as much
as the next person does!
Let us remind them of what the U S stands for!

Pledge of Allegiance

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the
United States of America,
and to the republic for which it stands,
one nation under God,
indivisible,
with liberty and justice for
all.

Do you ladies ever have touble that you can not see the script where you are typing after you type a couple of paragraphs?  I hate that.

I have been to Primo Theresa.  We are not fond of it.  It is too expensive, which I don't mind if it is good, for what you get.  I have a meeting there every month and get tired of the menu.  I guess I would rather order off the menu then the buffett.  I am not so good at buffetts.  I have a gastric band and eating too much at one time is  not possible.  I would rather eat small meals.

I spose most all of you are watchng the super bowl.  I am not a person for that.  Hubby is not either.
He has been walking but it is hard cause the pain down his leg is huge problem.  He overdid yesterday and is really down today.  It rained big time last night so it is really sloppy so he has been walking around our yard and house.  Our Pickup would not start lastnight so he managed to charge the battery today and get it going.  He even drove about 3 miles or so to charge it up.  He said I left the gps on.  I don't think so but whatever.  I never drive the thing.  In fact I think it has sat since we got here on the 11th of Jan.  I was lazy today and did not even go to church cause I do not like the flooded streeets.  It gets deep and I get scared.  That is how I found out the p/up was dead.  Wanted to drive it cause it is higher then the car is.

Oh well, gonna go work on some sewing stuff.  Almost done with this project and will start another right away.

Later!

I will put his address on your facebook email.

I use the flat rate box from the post office.  The one we are spose to use is the apo one.  It is 12.50 to send.  Just a thought, these fellas are not really on patrol I don't think.  Some might be but he is not.  I am sure he coud share with those who are.  He mostly works behind a desk.  Endless hours behind a computer.  His wife is doing okay.  The 9 year  old girl, Alexus, is the one who is struggling.  She is seeing the school counselor and is going to a group for kids of deployed soldiers.  She is angry he is gone and acting out a bit.  She is a very bright young lady and far above her class in many ways.  She is involved in dance and chess and many other activities.  It is mostly to keep her busy and her mind off where her daddy is.  I think the daughter in law struggles to be everything to the kids.  She has no help there and has a hard time getting them where they need to be everyday.  She spends a  great deal of time in the car taking and picking them up.  Thank goodnes she is not working right now.  she wants to go to school but seems like it never works out with the kids.  She hated for us to leave because we are the only help she ever has.
