Alison Kelly is a North Dakota native who has been with KX News since June 2016. She’s a graduate of West Fargo High School and the University of North Dakota. Alison started her journalism career as a freshman in high school with her school’s monthly newspaper and spent four years working at her college newspaper, serving as Editor in Chief for two years in addition to stints as the Sports and News Editor.
Alison spent five years working in the political sector and has experience in local, regional and national politics as well as political news coverage. Her favorite stories are the ones that put a face to the various issues we as a nation deal with daily.
When not working, you may see Alison around town or along the various recreational trails, walking her two labs, Max & Steve. She has also been known to watch an embarrassing amount of reality TV. Alison is a true Minnesota sports fan as well. She bleeds purple, is always rooting for the Twins, thinks this is the year for the Wild, takes great pride in the Minnesota Lynx, and wishes Kevin Garnett was still active.
