Brendan Rodenberg has been writing for as long as he can remember, having cut his teeth on event recaps, interviews, film criticism, fantasy, horror, and science fiction. His work has even appeared in national publications and video games- and now, he hopes to put his ever-changing writing style to the test in the newsroom.
Brendan was born in Daytona Beach, Florida, and has lived across the US, spending time in Kansas and Colorado before returning to Florida for higher education. During his college studies, Brendan interned at and contributed to multiple magazines in the Jacksonville area and beyond, as well as discovered his love of photojournalism. He has always wanted to share stories with the world, and this led him to pursue journalism as a career.
In March of 2022, seeking industry work and a change of scenery, Brendan moved to Bismarck to join KX News, where he serves as a digital reporter and the weekend digital content producer. In addition to reporting breaking news and studies, Brendan is the host of KX’s Weekend BRB segment — in which he reports on the biggest events occurring in and around Bismarck. He is also the writer and interviewer of KX’s interview column The Green Room, as well as our weekly gaming columns and the new One-Day ND Destinations travel series.
During his spare time, Brendan enjoys writing personal projects, gaming, and exploring the community for new restaurants and events to visit. He hopes to one day serve as a travel journalist and write about his experiences across the globe, conduct a definitive interview with his personal hero, and eventually get a full eight hours of uninterrupted sleep.
