Mary Gutenkauf joins us from just south of the border in Aberdeen, South Dakota. She joined KX News as a producer intern in 2022 and started on as a reporter in 2023.
Mary graduated from the University of Mary (no, she didn’t choose it for the name!) in 2023 as an English major, with minors in Business Administration and Catholic Studies.
She fell in love with the community of Bismarck and how it has a small-town feel while still having so much to offer, so she decided to stick around just a bit longer.
Mary enjoys reporting on all kinds of happenings in the Capitol City, and she has a passion for reading and/or proofreading just about anything.
In her free time, you can probably find her spending time outdoors, catching up with friends, cooking, embroidering, or taking care of her many plants.
