Nicholas Quallich

Nicholas Quallich comes to the Peace Garden State from Cleveland, Ohio.

Originally a music major at Kent State University, Nicholas found his passion for broadcasting in marching band.

He served as the band’s public address announcer for two years and got a chance to announce in venues such as Lincoln Financial Field, First Energy Stadium, as well as at Ohio Stadium to an audience of around 90,000 football fans.

After leaving KSU, Nicholas worked in retail for several years.

Wanting to pursue an alternate career path, Nicholas thought back to his college days and gave broadcasting a try.

In 2012, he attended the Ohio Media School and received the hands-on training he needed to get on track.

In the summer of 2014, Nicholas was asked to help start a brand new morning news program (FOX in the Morning) in Rochester, Minnesota.

He anchored, produced and reported, as well as shot stories five days a week for that program.

After two and a half years, Nicholas returned to Ohio, giving back to the place that gave him so much.

Nicholas joined the faculty of the Ohio Media School and taught the media students of tomorrow all about news, video cameras and video editing.

In October 2017, Nicholas was asked to head south to join Nexstar affiliate stations KFDX & KJTL as weekend anchor, host of Texoma Politics Now, as well as producer and reporter.

Throughout his time in the Wichita Falls, TX & Lawton, OK area, Nicholas covered many topics including Wichita Falls City Council, Lake Wichita Revitalization, plus the controversial demolition of an old and construction of a new prairie dog park.

As host of Texoma Politics Now, Nicholas interviewed, among others, Sen. Ted Cruz, Rep. Beto ‘O Rourke, State Sen. Pat Fallon and Meet the Press Moderator Chuck Todd.

In the fall of 2019, Nicholas was named evening co-anchor, alongside Lauren Kalberer. In January of 2023, Nicholas went from nights to mornings, joining Alysia Huck on Good Day Dakota.
