Phil Benotti is excited to continue his career with the KX Sports team as the Sports Director in Bismarck. From a young age, sports has been a passion for him, whether it was watching at home, or playing in a multitude of sports throughout his school life.
Before arriving in Bismarck, Phil was the weekend sports anchor at KTWO in Casper, Wyoming. There he covered the rural sports scene, as well as the College National Finals of Rodeo and Cheyenne Frontier Days. Phil also covered NDSU’s legendary coach Craig Bohl and the Wyoming Cowboys in football.
Phil joined KXMB in May of 2019 as the weekend sports anchor, where he was promoted less than a year later in Bismarck.
Phil is from the Bay Area of California and attended Fresno State for college in the heart of the central valley. There he graduated with a degree in broadcast journalism in December of 2015. Phil also interned with the Mountain West Network, covered numerous bowl games and NCAA tournaments, as well as go to school with incredible athletes like Aaron Judge, Derek Carr, and Davante Adams.
Phil is excited to be a part of the KX Sports Team, and feel free to talk with him out on the field or the court.
