Chad Mira anchors KX News at 5, 6 and 10. He joined the KX News team in March 2017 from KX News‘s sister station in Springfield, MO. While in Missouri, Chad anchored his station’s morning show, waking up every day at 2:45 a.m. He’s thrilled to have moved to Bismarck and gets eight hours of sleep every night now.
While in Springfield, Chad lead his team in several breaking news scenarios, earning recognition from the Missouri Broadcasters Association. His anchoring also appeared in an HBO documentary about a murder case in Springfield.
Before Springfield, Chad spent five years reporting and producing for various stations in North Carolina, Florida and Missouri. He has worked on several high profile stories including the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill and a federal court case against Girls Gone Wild Founder, Joe Francis. Chad was also interviewed on HLN for his coverage of a county school board shooting that gained national attention in 2010.
In his free time, Chad enjoys spending time with his wife, working in the yard, playing golf and tennis, going to church, and volunteering.
