On the first day of Christmas a bunch of elementary kids started a donation project.
Then on the second day they collected items for a local organization.
They repeated that for 12 days.
Each day there was a new organization to donate to, so there was always new items filling the classroom.
After the 12 days of Christmas collections was done one kid from each classroom at North Plains Elementary got on bus and personally delivered all the goodies.
“They need the things for Christmas to give to their children, husband, and wife,” said Nyla Fenner, 5th Grader.
“I feel proud that we’re helping all of these people and I also like that they’re having a better Christmas,” said Laurel Harrison, 5th Grader.
North Plains Elementary at the Minot Air Force Base gave back to twelve places in Minot including the animal shelter, cancer center, and Domestic Violence Crisis Center.
