4 ND high schools rank among best in nation

North Dakota has placed four high schools in the annual U.S. News and World Report ranking of the best high schools in the nation.

More than 20,500 schools nationwide were evaluated, but fewer than 6,000 received recognition from the publication.

The four high schools in the state that made the national list were Fargo Davies, Bismarck Century High School, Grand Forks Red River, and Grand Forks Central.

In terms of just North Dakota rankings, U.S. News and World Report ranked these high schools as the top 10 in the state:

1. Fargo Davies High School, Fargo

2. Century High School, Bismarck

3. Red River High School, Grand Forks

4. Central High School, Grand Forks

5. Carrington High School, Carrington

6. Cavalier High School, Cavalier

7. Center-Stanton High School, Center

8. Central Valley High School, Buxton

9. Dakota Prairie High School, Petersburg

10. Des Lacs-Burlington High School, Des Lacs
