It’s fair time across the state and lots of 4H members are ready to show off their projects for the year.

In Ward County, a prelude to the State Fair is Achievement Days that run all week at the State Fair Center.
The competition kicked off today with horse shows.

You’re looking at the Intermediate Showmanship division here – where 4H-ers under age 14 demonstrate their abilities in controlling their horses.

(Macey Moore, Berthold 4H Member) “You have to be precise in your moves and you have to show that your horse is willing to go and work with you.”
“Congratulations to the winner.”
(Macey Moore, Berthold 4H Member) “Yeah, they’re looking for that you and your horse are a team.”

Macey was the winner of her division with her horse Farrah.
She and Farrah will be chasing their third-straight State Fair title next month.
