A new group of cadets graduated from the police academy

North Dakota Law Enforcement Training Academy held its 132nd graduation ceremony for 24 police officers, sheriff deputies, and park rangers throughout North Dakota on Friday.

They completed 12 weeks of basic police training and were tested on several protocols and scenarios, both physical and mental.

“They work really hard. We have a 12 week curriculum for them to go through because we are not training people on the simple trade. Being a police officer is a very serious profession and we want them to remain safe and help keep the public safe throughout their entire career,” said Lt. Daniel Haugen, Training Director.

The officers who graduated are going to patrol all across the state of North Dakota.
