True North Theater kicked off its “War of the Worlds” stage play tonight.
This five day play will be a re-creation of the science fiction novel by H.G. Wells.
It’s about invaders from Mars that attack the planet earth.
True North theater founder, Tim Rosin, says the new company will be a theater for the community.
“We like to offer smaller shows, things that are more intimate. Things that you won’t see at other theaters. But we try to do things from time to time that pull back to North Dakota and show that there is art about North Dakota and can be created in North Dakota,” Rosin said.
The theater is based in The High Prairie Arts and Science building.
Along with tonight the show will run tomorrow, Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday.
