Airmen React To Vice President Visit

News

KX News had a team of people at the Minot Air force Base as the Vice President graced the stage.

I noticed security was super tight but the people at the base were excited to welcome the Vice President to North Dakota.

I got to speak to a few of the airmen and they were all happy to be recognized for the work that this base does for our country.

“It’s an honor to be with you all.” said Vice President Michael Pence.

Vice President Pence spoke to 150 airmen. During his speech he expressed his support for the base and gave words of encouragement.

“An awesome experience to be apart of where we’re actually brought in the highlight at Minot Air Force Base.” said Heather Jerrell, Stock Pile Management Section Chief.

“The American people also couldn’t be more proud of all of you. As President Trump has said in his words, you’re the backbone of this country.” said Vice President Micael Pence.

“It’s nice to get us out there so everybody knows the mission that we do.” said Brianna Loehr, B-52 Crew Chief.

Vice President Pence got to see that mission up close when he got to tour a B-52 Bomber.

“I think it just highlights how important our base is.” said Joshua Willacey, Finance Customer Service Technician.

Pence’s wise words left airmen feeling appreciated, valuable, and more motivated to do the best for our country.”

“It makes me extremely proud to be a member.” said Willacey.

“It really makes us a highlight on importance and pivotal role that we play.” said Jerrell.

“Thank you for your service, thank for your vigilance, and God bless you.” said Vice President Michael Pence.

Pence got a big cheer from the airmen when he said that the era of budget cuts to military will be over.
