Alexander School is locking doors after a student received a threat through social media.
The McKenzie County Sheriff’s Department says they were notified of a threat to a student on Wednesday.
The Sheriff’s department along with the FBI are investigating.

The Alexander School has been in a yellow status today, which means all outdoor and all classroom doors are locked, and there’s no outside recess.
Superintendent Leslie Bieber says the school will remain in that status until told otherwise by law enforcement.
The Sheriff’s department is also adding security for the school and the area.

Students are not being considered absent if they do not come to school.
