We already start off very windy this morning and the wind hasn’t even peaked yet! Expect strong northwest winds of 30 and 50 mph, gusting to 50 and around 60 mph. A High Wind Warning is in effect through 9pm cst. Bottineau and Rolette counties are under a Winter Weather Advisory from 9am to 9pm due to a chance for light snow (1″-2″) and strong wind that will reduce visibility. Highs today will warm to the 30s and lower 40s.
Tonight, expect the wind to taper a bit but also stay breezy. Northwesterly around 20-25 gusting to 30. A few scattered snow showers tonight will bring very little in accumulation with lows in the upper teens to lower 20s.
Tuesday, highs in the 20s with breezy conditions all day. Northwesterly around 15-20 gusting to 25 mph. Behind the system that has brought us light snow and very strong wind, a cold air mass follows. Highs on Wednesday will only warm to around 10 degrees to the lower teens.
