There is a little something for everyone in this forecast. A little hot and humid mixed with fall-like, cooler temperatures. On this Monday morning, the mercury will rise into the 70s and 80s by noon, eventually topping out in the upper 80s, to around 90 degrees. The dew points will be a little higher in the east, making it feel a little muggier. The Storm Prediction Center has issued a marginal risk for severe weather. Areas around Minot, Bismarck and east of highway 83 are at risk for an isolated severe storm. The good news? It should only be an evening event. The not-so-good news? Large hail and damaging winds are the risks with these storms.
Clouds decrease throughout Tuesday creating a mostly sunny sky with temperatures returning into the 80s. A few afternoon sprinkles are not out of the question. For the most part, no storms are expected.
Wednesday, a few more 90s will make their way back into the forecast with a cold front sweeping through Thursday. Not only does that front bring a chance for severe weather, but it cools temps down to the 70s for Friday. That cooler air mass sticks around for the weekend. If by Sunday you’re craving the hotter temps again, no need to worry! Temperatures begin to recover back into the 80s by next week!
