Apple today became the first American public company to be worth $1 trillion.

It’s stock value passed $207 a share, pushing the iPhone and computer maker into its own category.

For now.

Amazon, Alphabet (Google) and Microsoft may soon join Apple in the exclusive trillion dollar club. Amazon is valued at more than $900 billion while Alphabet and Microsoft are each over $800 billion.

Apple shares are now up more than 20 percent this year.

How many apples can Apple buy if it wanted to buy apples with its share value?

For the record, with a trillion dollars, you can buy 763 billion pounds of apples (Red Delicious at $1.31 a pound).
