Archery Education Center Opens

It’s been a dream of members for a long time.

That’s how the president of the Souris Valley Bowmen describes a brand new archery education center at the club’s location just west of Minot.

It’s a space connected to the club’s indoor archery range and the group held an open house today to show off the new facility.

Roger Coleman says local sponsors played a key role in developing the education center.

He says the space will help spread the sport of archery to new people in the region.

(Roger Coleman, Souris Valley Bowmen) “That’s where we’re going to gather to learn about archery together, through books, through videos, through the mounts that are in there, we can talk archery from the kids all the way up to the old-timers. That’s our goal here.”

Souris Valley Bowmen has about 150 members and is always looking for new members.

Contact Roger Coleman at 701-240-6892 or at for membership information.
