After an arctic April, the month of May has been warmer than normal.

Our KX Meteorologist Amber Wheeler says that April was much colder than it normally is – and in some places there was record setting cold.

It’s been the coldest April in 21 years for the entire country.

May is now a different story.

In the state this month, temperatures have been above average and although it may not be record setting but it is very close.

Nationally, there have been 19-hundred heat records broken or tied during May.
